rescue a friend who's been kidnapped by a mysterious organization known as the
Gobblers, and winds up on an epic quest to save not only her world, but ours as
well. The cast includes Nicole Kidman, Daniel Craig,

The Buzz..
ABC has
tapped Nick Lachey to host its extension of the High School Musical
franchise this summer. The singer and actor will serve as host for HSM:
Summer Session, which will give aspiring performers a chance to hone their
skills and ultimately win a still secret but undoubtedly High School Musical
related prize.
Jennifer Lopez, husband Marc Anthony and their
new-born twins will be the subject of a TLC unscripted series produced by
another Hollywood couple, Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos.

line.
Carmen Electra may be giving matrimony another whirl. The celeb-actress
is reportedly engaged to boyfriend Rob Patterson.
The second piece of NBC's late-night succession plan is falling into place.
Speculation has been swirling for a few months that former Saturday
Night Live regular Jimmy Fallon would take over Late
Night when Conan O'Brien moves to The Tonight
Show next year. That looks to be pretty much a done deal now.
Three and a half years after Star Jones' overblown,
corporate-sponsored wedding to Al Reynolds, the couple is calling
it quits. The former co-host of The View filed for divorce from
her husband in Manhattan's New York Supreme Court on March 26.
Miley
Cyrus will soon influence young minds with the written word, not just her
lyrics. The Hannah Montana star has signed a seven-figure book
deal with Disney Book Group. The book will describe the teen's road to
stardom, family stories, her inner circle of friends and the relationship with
her mother Leticia as well as never before seen photos.
Cashmere Mafia is on shaky ground for renewal next season, but
star Lucy Liu is likely headed back to ABC regardless of the
show's fate. Liu is in talks to join the cast of Dirty Sexy
Money next season. She would become a regular on the soapy drama, which
stars Peter Krause as the attorney for a filthy-rich family in New York.
Music fans longing for a return to the mid-'90s will have a reason to celebrate
this summer. Collective Soul are putting together a tour that will
feature Live and Blues Traveler. Dates and venues will be
announced soon. Collective Soul, Live and Counting Crows played a tour of minor
league ballparks last summer. Collective Soul are wrapping up a spring tour of
clubs and casinos.
AC/DC has reportedly finished recording a new album and is currently
mixing the effort for a late 2008 release, singer Brian Johnson

and take care of promotional activities in connection with the release, which
will be followed by a tour. The record will be AC/DC's first new work since
2000's Stiff Upper Lip.

drips and drabs, and the latest is that it will be out "this fall," while

their upcoming tour. Bassist Robert DeLeo recently told Billboard.com that the
band has decided to wait till after their tour is done to hit the studio.
The lifetime ban denying Snoop Dogg from entering the UK has been
overturned. Two judges lifted the ban after seeing footage of the supposed
"brawl" at Heathrow Airport that got him kicked out of the country in 2006. The
video shows Snoop complying with officers, even after being shoved and
instructed to lie on the ground face-down during his arrest.
A record sales battle involving 50 Cent is no longer happening.
Fifty's G-Unit was slated to drop their new record on June 24th, the same
day as their ex-member and sworn enemy The Game's album.
Interscope has changed both release dates to July 1st and July 8th respectively. |
