Chased by a vengeful criminal and a gang of otherworldly soldiers, a recently released ex-con and his adopted teenage brother are forced to go on the run with a weapon of mysterious origin, which belongs to the strange soldiers, as their only protection. Directed by Jonathan and Josh Baker and written by Daniel Casey, based on the 2014 short film Bag Man. It stars Jack Reynor, Zoë Kravitz, Carrie Coon, Dennis Quaid, James Franco, and Myles Truitt.

TV personality Abby Huntsman will officially be joining The View for Season 22! The former Fox & Friends Weekend co-host will sit beside Whoopi Goldberg, Sunny Hostin, Joy Behar, and Meghan McCain when she's added to the cast next month. "I couldn’t be more be excited to return to my professional roots at ABC News," Abby said in an official press release. From Sonic Screwdriver to Lightsaber, it looks like Matt Smith (Doctor Who) will be heading to a galaxy far, far away as Variety has reported that the actor will be joining the cast of Star Wars: Episode IX.

Tom Hardy has confirmed that he’s signed on for three Venom sequels. He says it’s an “open case” and that it will depend on how audiences react to it, but he says Sony designed Venom to be a “standalone universe” that it can build new things off of in the future.

Epix has given a formal 10-episode series order to Our Lady, Ltd, a modern noir drama starring Oscar winner Ben Kingsley, from Patriot creator Steve Conrad and Epix’s sister studio MGM Television.

Netflix is showing no signs of slowing down in terms of producing scripted originals. Another Life, which has been in the works at the streamer for over a year has added another string of actors to fill out its cast. The latest of which are Tyler Hoechlin (Teen Wolf), Justin Chatwin (Shameless) and Samuel Anderson (Trollied). The series focuses on Niko Breckinridge (Katee Sackhoff) who is searching space for alien intelligence.

Hulu has handed out a two season order to an animated comedy series that hails from Rick and Morty co-creator Justin Roiland and Rick and Morty writer Mike McMahan. The series is titled Solar Opposites. It centers on a family of aliens from a better world who must take refuge in middle America. They disagree on whether this is awful or awesome. Hulu has ordered two eight episode seasons, with the first slated to debut in 2020.

Emma Kenney, Ames McNamara and Jayden Rey, the trio who played Roseanne and Dan Conner’s grandchildren on the rebooted and now-canceled Roseanne last season, are coming back. ABC confirmed that the trio are set as series regulars on The Conners, the Roseanne Barr-free spinoff that premieres this fall.

Viewership of HBO’s Sharp Objects shot up 40% with Sunday’s finale episode, grabbing 2.6 million viewers with linear and streaming viewing combined.

Theodore Pellerin has joined the upcoming YouTube Premium dark comedy series On Becoming a God in Central Florida. Set near Orlando in the early 1990s, the show centers on Krystal Gill (Kirsten Dunst), a minimum wage earning water park employee who will eventually scheme her way up the ranks of Founders American Merchandise: the cultish, flag waving, multi-billion dollar pyramid scheme that drove her family to ruin.
