Aquaman
Once home to the most advanced civilization on Earth,
the city of Atlantis is now an underwater kingdom ruled
by the power hungry King Orm. With a vast army at his
disposal, Orm plans to conquer the remaining oceanic
people, and then the surface world. Standing in his way
is Aquaman (Jason Momoa), Orm's half
human, half Atlantean brother and true heir to the
throne. With help from royal counselor Vulko, Aquaman
must retrieve the legendary Trident of Atlan and embrace
his destiny as protector of the deep.

Journalist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is trying to take down Carlton Drake,
the notorious and brilliant founder of the Life Foundation. While investigating
one of Drake's experiments, Eddie's body merges with the alien Venom, leaving
him with superhuman strength and power. Twisted, dark and fueled by rage, Venom
tries to control the new and dangerous abilities that Eddie finds so
intoxicating.

Actor Eliza Dushku has slammed CBS and her former Bull
co-star Michael Weatherly in a scathing story for the Boston
Globe that details the allegations of harassment that led to her $9.5
million settlement with the network earlier this year. “I took a job and,
because I did not want to be harassed, I was fired,” Dushku states in the first
person story.
Netflix’s Locke and Key has found its two new Locke siblings,
casting Emilia Jones and Connor Jessup as Kinsey and
Tyler Locke, respectively. The streaming giant picked up the project, based on
the IDW Publishing comic book franchise of the same name, in July
for a 10 episode order after Hulu passed on the pilot. The Netflix series
was created by Joe Hill and developed by Carlton Cuse,
Aron Eli Coleite and Meredith Averill. Cuse
and Averill will serve as co-showrunners.
The “greatest trick in music that people ever pulled off,” Jay Z said to
Forbes in 2010, was convincing young aspiring musicians that “you can’t
be an artist and make money.” The rapper followed up on his words this week by
rising to become the fifth richest figure on the magazine’s annual ranking of
celebrity wealth in America — and the wealthiest musician on the list. Jay
trails behind George Lucas, Steven Spielberg,
Oprah Winfrey and Michael Jordan with his net worth of
$900 million.

bars in his airport drug case.
Best known this time of year for The Hanukkah Song, Adam Sandler
took a more somber tone on Tuesday to remember the late comedic actor Chris
Farley on the 21st anniversary of his death. Sandler, 52, shared a clip
from his Netflix special Adam Sandler: 100% Fresh, in which he
pays tribute to “my friend Chris Farley” with a song.
To the heartbreak of fans everywhere, CBS' long-running series
Elementary will officially end after its upcoming seventh season. In case
you haven't checked out any of the previous six seasons, the procedural drama is
a modern take on the classic Sherlock Holmes story, and stars
Jonny Lee Miller as the famous detective, alongside his
Watson, portrayed by Lucy Liu.
Ben Affleck and Universal are partnering on a film
adaptation of I Am Still Alive. Affleck will star in the wilderness drama
and is in talks to produce through his Pearl Street Films.
The story centers on a teenage girl who is forced to move in with her off the
grid dad in the Canadian wilderness her mother is killed in a car crash. But
when certain events leave her stranded, far away from any help, with only her
father’s dog for company, she’ll discover she’s stronger than she ever imagined.
A sequel to To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is officially in the works
at Netflix. The sequel will reunite Lana Condor and Noah
Centineo and will be produced by Matt Kaplan and Dougie
Cash. Sofia Alvarez is writing the screenplay.
This Is Us, Pose and a 10-year reunion panel for
Parks and Recreation are the first shows announced as
participating in PaleyFest LA 2019, the Paley Center for
Media has revealed.
