Tomb Raider
Lara Croft (Alicia Vikander) is the
fiercely independent daughter of an eccentric adventurer
who vanished years earlier. Hoping to solve the mystery
of her father's disappearance, Croft embarks on a
perilous journey to his last known destination, a fabled
tomb on a mythical island that might be somewhere off
the coast of Japan. The stakes couldn't be higher as
Lara must rely on her sharp mind, blind faith and
stubborn spirit to venture into the unknown.

The Shape Of Water
Elisa is a mute, isolated woman who works as a cleaning lady in a hidden,
high-security government laboratory in 1962 Baltimore. Her life changes forever
when she discovers the lab's classified secret; a mysterious, scaled creature
from South America that lives in a water tank. As Elisa develops a unique bond
with her new friend, she soon learns that its fate and very survival lies in the
hands of a hostile government agent and a marine biologist.

Academy Award winner Jordan Peele is re-teaming with
comedy partner Keegan-Michael Key for Netflix’s stop motion
feature Wendell and Wild, directed by Henry
Selick. Key and Peele will voice the titular scheming demon brothers forced
to face-off against their arch enemy in order to earn their way out of hell.
CBS has found their new Cagney and Lacey. Sarah
Drew and Michelle Hurd will star in the network's series
reboot pilot. Based on the hit 1980s TV show, the action drama "centers on two
female police detectives and friends who keep the streets of Los Angeles safe."
The original series starred Tyne Daly and Sharon Gless
and ran on CBS from 1982 to 1988.
Cardi B's set to pop out her baby this summer but, unlike
Beyonce, she's not letting pregnancy stop her from performing at
Coachella. The rapper's due the first week of July and will be close to 7
months pregnant with Offset's kiddo when she takes the stage next month
at Coachella.
Spike Lee is eyeing Sony’s Spider-Man spinoff
Nightwatch as a directing vehicle. Nightwatch would be a part of Sony’s
Spider-Man universe along with other Marvel Comics properties such
as Venom, Silver and Black, and Morbius
the Living Vampire. Spike Lee’s potential involvement is in
the very early stages, but that he could potentially direct the superhero film
written by Luke Cage showrunner Cheo Hodari Coker.
Jon Hamm is in negotiations to star opposite Natalie
Portman in Fox Searchlight’s Pale Blue Dot.
The script follows a successful female astronaut who, after coming back home
from a mission in space, starts to unravel when confronted by her seemingly
perfect life. The film explores the theory that astronauts who spend long
periods of time in space lose their sense of reality when they return home.
MTV’s Total Request Live reboot has not been canceled, and will in fact
expand to three times a day. TRL was the subject of a TMZ report on
Wednesday saying the rebooted music and live performance show had been canceled
after less than six months on the air. However, a network spokesperson has now
denied the report, saying the show will return in April as planned. “‘TRL has
been a huge success for us and we’re expanding the franchise with daily late
night and morning shows this summer,” the network said.
Stormy Daniels is getting a huge financial assist from the public
in her legal battle with Donald Trump, but while the donations
pile up, so do questions about the loot. Stormy opened a crowdfunding
page Wednesday, asking for donations to support her legal effort to get the
"hush" agreement with the Prez tossed. So far she's raised more than $80k in the
first 12 hours, and plans to keep collecting for another month.
Disney Channel alum Ross Lynch has been cast as the
male lead in Netflix’s Sabrina the Teenage Witch series. Lynch will play
Harvey Kinkle, boyfriend to Kiernan Shipka’s Sabrina. He joins a
cast that also includes Homeland’s Miranda Otto and
Wonder Woman actress Lucy Davis as Aunt Zelda and Aunt
Hilda, respectively.
If you haven't already heard of Bristol Marunde and Aubrey
Marunde, it's time to pay attention. The stars of Flip or Flop Vegas
are returning to the small screen tonight as season two officially kicks off.
