Instant Family
When Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose
Byrne) decide to start a family, they stumble
into the world of foster care adoption. They hope to
take in one small child, but when they meet three
siblings, including a rebellious 15 year old girl, they
find themselves speeding from zero to three kids
overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must try to learn the
ropes of instant parenthood in the hope of becoming a
family.

Previously thought to be extinct, a massive creature attacks a deep sea
submersible, leaving it disabled and trapping the crew at the bottom of the
Pacific. With time running out, a visionary oceanographer recruits rescue diver
Jonas Taylor to save the crew and the sea itself from an unimaginable threat, a
75 foot long prehistoric shark known as the Megalodon. Action star Jason
Statham and Chinese superstar Li Bingbing head up the cast
on this actioner.

Stan Lee, the legendary comic book writer and editor who helped
redefine the medium when he co-created much of Marvel Comics’ vast
library of characters and concepts, has died. He was 95.
Sabrina Spellman will return to Netflix sooner than you think, and she’s
bringing a little holiday cheer with her. Kiernan Shipka and the
rest of the cast of the streamer’s haunting new take on the half-teen,
half-witch will be back for a holiday episode, Chilling Adventures of
Sabrina: A Midwinter’s Tale, set to drop Friday, Dec. 14.
Food Network has struck a multi-series deal with actress and host
Valerie Bertinelli that will have her tackling “multiple projects
in daytime and primetime,” the Discovery-owned cable network said. Food
Network has ordered to series Family Food Showdown. a
family focused competition program that Bertinelli will host. The network also
announced that Bertinelli will take part in new episodes of Kids
Baking Championship.
The People’s Choice Awards made its debut on the E!
channel Sunday night to “For the People, By the People” fanfare, announcing the
winners of the annual ceremony. Marvel conquered the film side with
Avengers: Infinity War winning Movie of 2018 while Shadowhunters
topped TV, winning Show of 2018.
In 1994, Roger Corman finished production on the first live-action
film adaptation of the classic Stan Lee comic The
Fantastic Four. The movie then promptly went straight into hiding.
Despite trailers promising it was coming, it was never to see a full release.
The reason for this mysterious disappearance is simple: it’s absolutely
terrible. But now you can easily see just how terrible it is as the full thing
has been uploaded to YouTube for your viewing displeasure.
DC Universe’s Swamp Thing series continues to amass
actors. The latest: Kevin Durand, who appeared on Lost,
Legion and more, has come aboard the Swamp Thing cast as Dr. Jason
Woodrue, a character who eventually becomes the super villain Floronic
Man.
Downton Abbey alum Allen Leech has been cast as one
of the leads opposite Sophia Bush in CBS’ drama pilot
Surveillance.
Samantha Bee will air a special holiday broadcast of her TBS’
satire show Full Frontal, another example of how late-night hosts
are testing all kinds of extensions of their flagship broadcasts to win viewers
who don’t necessarily watch their shows at the times they air each week.
David Spade is attached to star in a comedy series currently in
the works at HBO from writer Diablo Cody. The untitled
half-hour series follows Calvin Wash (Spade), a semi-famous grunge musician in
the ’90s who was hooked on heroin. Now he’s clean, sober and working as a waiter
in the Valley. When he meets troubled 20 something actress Bailey, both of their
lives change in unexpected and electrifying ways.
