Venom
Journalist Eddie Brock (Tom Hardy) is
trying to take down Carlton Drake, the notorious and
brilliant founder of the Life Foundation. While
investigating one of Drake's experiments, Eddie's body
merges with the alien Venom, leaving him with superhuman
strength and power. Twisted, dark and fueled by rage,
Venom tries to control the new and dangerous abilities
that Eddie finds so intoxicating.

Sicario: Day of the Soldado
FBI agent Matt Graver (Josh Brolin) calls on mysterious operative
Alejandro Gillick (Benicio del Toro) when Mexican drug
cartels start to smuggle terrorists across the U.S. border. The war escalates
even further when Alejandro kidnaps a top kingpin's daughter to deliberately
increase the tensions. When the young girl is seen as collateral damage, the two
men will determine her fate as they question everything that they are fighting
for.

Netflix has acquired the international streaming rights to the DC
Universe series Titans. The series is due to premiere on DC
Universe, the recently-launched DC branded streaming service, on Oct. 12. It
will stream on Netflix outside of the U.S. and China, with Netflix not being
available in the latter country.
It sounds like a whole lot of Venom wound up on the cutting room floor as
Tom Hardy says there is about 40 minutes worth of deleted scenes.
The upcoming Spider-Man spin-off, which won't feature Spider-Man and
isn't connected to the Marvel Cinematic Universe in any
way, is set to arrive in theaters this weekend.
Tiffany Haddish returned to multiplexes, this time around with
Kevin Hart, for her first co-lead role since the breakout hit
Girls Trip. The 2017 raunchy comedy with Queen Latifah
and Jada Pinkett Smith struck a chord with moviegoers and
picked up a number of accolades, launching Haddish into superstardom.
Black Mirror fans might not have to wait until 2019 to see new
episodes. The fifth season of the acclaimed science-fiction anthology series is
eyeing a return to Netflix before the new year begins.
Producer Brian Robbins has been tapped as the new head of
Nickelodeon, Viacom’s kid-focused cable channel that has been
struggling with declining ratings and changing viewing habits among its target
demographic.
Cardi B surrendered to New York City police on Monday morning in
connection with a strip club brawl. The Be Careful rapper turned
herself in, along with nine other suspects, at the 109th Precinct in Queens.
Cardi B wasn’t arrested, but will be ordered to appear in court, for
orchestrating an August attack on two bartenders at Angels Strip
Club in Queens, according to the NYPD.
The Charlie’s Angels reboot cast has added yet another Bosley to the mix:
Djimon Hounsou. Hounsou joins Patrick Stewart and
director Elizabeth Banks as one of the film’s numerous Bosleys.
Sunday night may be Football Night in America, but there are still other options
on broadcast. One of those was the CBS series premiere of God
Friended Me, which drew 10.5 million viewers. NBC finished first with
Sunday Night Football; CBS was runner-up. Fox was third in
primetime, returning The Simpsons, Bob’s Burgers and
Family Guy for their new seasons.
A very good boy will make his Game of Thrones return in
Season 8. Jon Snow's (Kit Harington) beloved direwolf Ghost will
show up again after sitting out the entirety of Season 7.
NBCUniversal has unveiled plans for its first bilingual series, Latinx
Now!, a weekly talk show produced in both English and Spanish to air
digital platforms of Telemundo and E! and the Spanish
language Universo cable channel.
Gary Newman is in negotiations with 21st Century Fox to
remain with the company and lead Fox Broadcasting through an
anticipated transition period.
Sharon Osbourne has left the U.K. edition of X Factor,
saying she thought she was surplus to requirements. Her exit came after she said
contestants on the talent show were “little s—s,” asked “Is this f—ing karaoke,”
and leveled insults at Simon Cowell in a recent profanity laced
interview with Howard Stern.
