Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood
Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time... in
Hollywood visits 1969 Los Angeles, where everything is
changing, as TV star Rick Dalton (Leonardo
DiCaprio) and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth
(Brad Pitt) make their way around an
industry they hardly recognize anymore. The ninth film
from the writer director features a large ensemble cast
and multiple storylines in a tribute to the final
moments of Hollywood’s golden age.

Alita: Battle Angel
Set several centuries in the future, the abandoned Alita is found in the
scrapyard of Iron City by Ido, a compassionate cyber doctor who takes the
unconscious cyborg Alita to his clinic. When Alita awakens, she has no memory of
who she is, nor does she have any recognition of the world she finds herself in.
As Alita learns to navigate her new life and the treacherous streets of Iron
City, Ido tries to shield her from her mysterious past.

Ridley Scott looks to have his next directing job, as he has
signed on to direct The Last Duel with Matt Damon
and Ben Affleck attached to star. The pic is set in 14th century
France and follows a man who goes to war and returns to discover a friend of his
has raped his wife. No one will believe the woman, and the soldier appeals to
the king of France and says he wants to fight a duel to the death to decide the
man’s fate.
The upcoming Lord of the Rings series at Amazon has made its first
casting decision. Markella Kavenagh is in talks for a role in the
upcoming epic fantasy series.
Ariana Grande has seemingly spoken out against celeb photographer
Marcus Hyde, after a model accused him of bribing her for nude
portraits. Los Angeles based model Sunnaya took to her Instagram
account and shared screenshots of her alleged direct messages with Hyde. She
claimed that she reached out to him via Dm after he posted an ad looking for
models. In her screenshots of their alleged conversation, she claimed that he
asked her for nude photos in exchange for a free photo session.
Oops, has Britney Spears done it again?! The 37 year old pop star
wore an especially sparkly diamond ring on that finger as she attended the Los
Angeles premiere of Once Upon a Time in Hollywood alongside longtime
boyfriend Sam Asghari. Britney complemented her seemingly new
piece of jewelry with a red mini-dress by Nookie, black chunky heels and
a flashy choker.
The Simpsons Movie was a massive success for 20th
Century Fox when it opened theatrically in July 2007. With $527
million worldwide, the long awaited film based on the Fox animated series ended
the year as the eighth biggest box office hit. The Simpsons owner Fox is now
owned by Walt Disney Studios. “No doubt there will be
another ‘Simpsons’ movie one of these days,” Matt Groening assured fans.
“I think Disney wants something for its money.”
Netflix announced that rapper Kid Cudi will team up with
Black-ish creator Kenya Barris to create an adult animated
streaming series based on his upcoming album, Entergalactic.
To help promote HGTV’s upcoming series about the renovation of the Brady
Bunch House, Discovery is bringing the Brady Bunch to some
of its other networks. Brady Bunch cast members will appear in episodes of
Fast N’ Loud, Chopped, Worst Cooks in America,
The Kitchen and The Pioneer Woman, which air
on Food Network and Discovery Channel. These
episodes will air in August and September, leading up to the debut of A Very
Brady Renovation.
Chris Rock’s Saw reboot will slash into theaters five
months earlier, with Lionsgate announcing a May 15, 2020 release in the
height of the summer season. The film, starring Rock and Samuel L. Jackson,
had previously been set for release on October 23, 2020. It will now face off
against Warner Bros.’ animated reboot Scooby.
Cristiano Ronaldo will not face charges in relation to a 2009
sexual assault allegation leveled against him. The Clark County District
Attorney's office declined to prosecute the soccer star because, as they stated
in a press release, the alleged incident cannot be proven beyond a reasonable
doubt. |
