Jack Malik (Himesh Patel is a struggling
singer songwriter in an English seaside town whose
dreams of fame are rapidly fading, despite the fierce
devotion and support of his childhood best friend, Ellie
(Lily James). After a freak bus accident
during a mysterious global blackout, Jack wakes up to
discover that The Beatles have never existed. Performing
songs by the greatest band in history to a world that
has never heard them, Jack becomes on overnight
sensation with a little help from his agent.

Dumbo
Holt was once a circus star, but he went off to war and when he returned it had
terribly altered him. Circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) hires
him to take care of Dumbo, a newborn elephant whose oversized ears make him the
laughing stock of the struggling circus troupe. But when Holt's children
discover that Dumbo can fly, silver tongued entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael
Keaton), and aerial artist Colette Marchant (Eva Green)
swoop in to make the little elephant a star.

Rock juggernaut Hairball returns to Bayfront Festival
Park in Duluth, MN on July 3rd for the 9th annual party in the
park. Don’t confuse Hairball with any other 80’s Tribute bands. Hairball is an
attitude, an expression of music and showmanship that is a way of life. The
lights, sound, video screens, smoke, fire, and the screaming fans is an

Aldis Hodge has signed on to the cast of Blumhouse
Productions’ upcoming Universal Monsters remake The
Invisible Man, Bloody Disgusting has revealed. This
latest take on the classic H.G. Wells tale is being directed by Leigh
Whannell, and marks the first post-Dark Universe project from Universal
as the studio looks to relaunch its legendary cinematic monsters for the 21st
century.
Rihanna took the Microsoft Theater stage to present Mary
J. Blige with the BET Lifetime Achievement Award.
Hailing the legendary singer for her style and sound, Rihanna also made mention
of Blige’s history making two Oscar nominations in the same year, for
best actress and original song for Mudbound. Accepting the trophy, Blige
told Rihanna, ” I don’t think you know how much I love and respect you. I’m a
huge fan and you inspire me right back.”
Demi Moore has become the latest addition to the cast of Brave
New World, the upcoming USA Network TV
adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s classic 1931 novel.
Last year saw the successful launch of ‘Sony’s Universe of Marvel
Characters’ with Venom, the Tom Hardy headlined comic book
adaptation defying critics (and early backlash against its marketing campaign)
to gross an impressive $855 million worldwide. With a hit in the bag, Sony
wasted little time in setting two further Marvel movie dates – the Jared
Leto headlined Morbius the Living Vampire
slated for July 10th 2020, followed by an ‘Untitled Sony/Marvel Sequel’
on October 2nd.
As expected, Disney continued to tighten its grip on the box office with
the release of Pixar’s Toy Story 4, which opened this weekend to
an estimated $118 million from 4,575 theaters.
Ahead of the Veronica Mars revival, the series’ longtime theme
song is getting a re-vamp. For the eight-episode reboot on Hulu, the
show’s theme song, We Used To Be Friends by the Dandy Warhols,
will be performed by the Pretenders’ Chrissie Hynde.
The Rome Film Festival will celebrate Bill Murray
with its lifetime achievement award, which will be presented to him by Wes
Anderson. Anderson has directed Murray in some of his most iconic roles,
most notably in The Royal Tenenbaums.
Steve Urkel is back! Jaleel White just announced he
is reviving the Family Matter character for the new BoomerangTV
show Scooby-Doo and Guess Who?
Multi-Platinum, Georgia-bred rockers Collective Soul are on the
road in support of their tenth studio album Blood. Now's The Time
Tour features the Gin Blossoms in tow. Collective Soul make a
special festival stop in Brainerd MN at Lakes Jam, a
multi-day Country/Rock show on June 29th. Three Doors Down
and Fuel will also play that day. Justin Moore, Gary
Allan, Scotty McCreery, Lauren Alaina,
Little Texas and Sawyer Brown are some of the acts
featured on Lakes Jam's country flavored days. A great festival to start the
