The Buzz...
Before Felicity Huffman faced fraud charges for allegedly
participating in a college cheating scheme, her husband William H. Macy
spoke out about how lying is “never” worth it in the long run. In a February
interview with Men’s Journal, the Shameless star, 69, said
that the best advice he’d ever received was to “never lie.” “It’s the cheapest
way to go. Lies cost you a lot, and they’re never worth what they cost,” he
said.

Wonder Park and Five Feet Apart outperformed

Disney has reinstated James Gunn as director of Marvel
Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, bringing an end to the saga that
began last year with the filmmaker’s dismissal from the project last year due to
inappropriate past tweets. Disney’s original decision to fire Gunn had been met
with heavy criticism, with the Guardians of the Galaxy cast issuing a statement
in support of the filmmaker, and a petition on Change.org urging
the Mouse House to reconsider attracting over 425,000 signatures.
In a bid to keep himself involved as the Scarlet Speedster, actor Ezra
Miller is taking a hands-on approach to The Flash. Miller is taking a
stab at writing the script for the Warner Bros. project, The
Hollywood Reporter has learned. He has teamed up with Grant
Morrison, the acclaimed comics author, to pen a draft that could determine
if he stays on as star, playing crimefighter Barry Allen.
It was a case of art imitating life at the Hollywood premiere of The
Perfectionists, Freeform’s Pretty Little Liars
spinoff about a scandal involving college students striving for excellence by
any means necessary. The TV show’s debut was coincidentally preceded by a
real-life college scandal involving Hollywood celebrities who allegedly didn’t
let a little thing like the law get in the way of their children’s educational
ambitions.
