At The Movies

Terminator: Dark Fate
Sarah Connor and a hybrid cyborg human must protect a young girl from a newly modified liquid Terminator from the future. More than two decades have passed since Sarah Connor prevented Judgment Day, changed the future, and re-wrote the fate of the human race. Dani Ramos (Natalia Reyes) is living a simple life in Mexico City with her brother (Diego Boneta) and father when a highly advanced and deadly new Terminator, a Rev-9 (Gabriel Luna), travels back through time to hunt and kill her. Dani's survival depends on her joining forces with two warriors: Grace (Mackenzie Davis), an enhanced super soldier from the future, and a battle hardened Sarah Connor (Linda Hamilton). As the Rev-9 ruthlessly destroys everything and everyone in its path on the hunt for Dani, the three are led to a T-800 (Arnold Schwarzenegger) from Sarah's past that may be their last best hope.

On DVD

Luce
It's been ten years since Amy and Peter Edgar (Naomi Watts and Tim Roth) adopted their son from war-torn Eritrea, and they thought the worst was behind them. Luce Edgar (Kelvin Harrison Jr.) has become an all-star student beloved by his community in Arlington, Virginia. His African American teacher, Harriet Wilson (Octavia Spencer), believes he is a symbol of black excellence that sets a positive example for his peers. But when he is assigned to write an essay in the voice of a historical twentieth-century figure, Luce turns in a paper that makes an alarming statement about political violence.

The Buzz...

Jennie Garth has a new zip code. The Beverly Hills, 90210 star sold her home in Los Olivos, Calif. for $1.9 million and purchased a new abode in Pasadena, Calif. for $3,325,000. The picturesque pad is 3,360 square feet and has four bedrooms and four bathrooms. The 1950s, mid-century ranch offers several luxurious features. Take the master suite, for instance. The bedroom has a large walk-in closet and a spa-like bathroom.

Kylie Jenner has done it again! The beauty mogul continues to pull out all the stops for Halloween. It was just days ago that the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star and her Bff Stassie Karanikolaou dressed up as Madonna and Britney Spears, channeling their iconic performance at the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards. Now, Kylie has outdone herself once again, dressing up as a Playboy Bunny for her pal's Halloween bash.

HBO's Game of Thrones prequel spinoff isn't moving forward. The project, which was set to star an ensemble cast with Naomi Watts as the lead, is not going to series. The prequel, which did not have an official title, was created by book scribe George R.R. Martin and Jane Goldman. Goldman was set to serve as executive producer and showrunner.

It's over for Brody Jenner and Josie Canseco. The Hills: New Beginnings star and the supermodel daughter of Jose Canseco have called it quits after about two months of dating. According to a source, the celeb duo stopped seeing each other "a few weeks ago." "Brody basically broke it off with her because it was getting too serious and he didn't want the pressure of a new relationship."

If you're not following Zac Efron on Instagram yet, his latest post will definitely convince you to hit the "follow" button. The actor, who has been keeping a low profile on social media lately, shared a picture of himself in sauna and there's only one word to describe it: steamy.

David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, the duo who in 2011 launched the singular screen sensation known as Game of Thrones, have walked away from their much-publicized deal with Disney’s Lucasfilm to launch a feature film trilogy in 2022. Benioff and Weiss were supposed to usher in the post Skywalker era of the Star Wars brand with a 2022 new start story that would stake out a new frontier for the era defining cinema brand created by George Lucas. The Emmy winning pair cited their historic deal with Netflix. They said their enthusiasm for Star Wars remains boundless but, regrettably, their schedule is full up.

Lauren Cohan is already set to make her return to The Walking Dead for the show’s upcoming 11th season. But those of you who are too impatient to wait to see Maggie come back next season should get satisfaction from learning she might actually appear this season.
