Fired Up!
Shawn Colfax (Nicholas D'Agosto) and Nick Brady (Eric Christian Olsen),
the stars of the Gerald R. Ford High School football team, are dreading the
prospect of another summer at football camp. When Nick hatches a scheme for the
two to join their school's cheerleaders at cheer camp instead, they find
themselves awash in a sea of gorgeous young women. It all goes great until Shawn
falls for Carly (Sarah Roemer), the beautiful head cheerleader who
sees right through them. Mindless fun.

How to Lose Friends & Alienate People
Sidney Young, a smalltime, bumbling, British celebrity journalist, is hired by
an upscale magazine in New York City. In spectacular fashion Sidney enters high
society and burns bridges with bosses, peers and superstars. After disrupting
one black-tie event by allowing a wild pig to run rampant, Sidney catches the
attention of Clayton Harding, editor of Sharp, and accepts a job with the
magazine in New York City. Clayton warns Sidney that he'd better impress and
charm everyone he can, if he wants to succeed. Instead, Sidney instantly insults
and annoys fellow writer Alison Olsen. He dares to target the star clients of
power publicist Eleanor Johnson. He upsets his direct boss Lawrence Maddox and
tries to make amends by hiring a stripper to dance for Lawrence during a staff
meeting. Sidney, of course, doesn't stop there, finding creative ways to annoy
nearly everyone. His saving graces: a rising, sexy starlet develops an odd
affection for him, and in time, Alison whose friendship with him might be the
only thing saving Sidney from torpedoing his career.
The Buzz..
Hayden
Christensen, who played young Anakin Skywalker in the Star Wars films,
reportedly popped the question to actress Rachel Bilson over the
holidays, according to People.
The Simpsons aired its first ever high-definition episode Sunday,
and with it came a mostly new and appropriately HD fancy twist on the
familiar opening of the show. For the Simpsons obsessive, there is much to love
about the new sequence, from Kearney and Jimbo sawing off the head of Jebediah
Springfield before we zoom into Bart writing on the chalkboard (HDTV is worth
every cent) to finally being able to see what the price is when Maggie gets
scanned at the grocery ($486.52). Sideshow Bob and Apu's octuplets are new
additions to the sidewalk as Bart skates by.
Heroes sweethearts Hayden Panettiere and Milo
Ventimiglia have called it quits. A source close to the couple says that it
was the age and lifestyle differences that caused the split last week. At 19,
Panettiere "is young. She likes to go out in the Hollywood scene and that's not
his style," whereas Ventimiglia at 31 "has been concentrating on work on his
production company [Divide Pictures]."
A&E is hoping that MC Hammer has one more hit left in him. The
cable channel has ordered an unscripted series called Hammertime that
will follow the former hip-hop star and his family. The latest entry in the
celebrities are people too subset of reality shows is scheduled to premiere
later this year, A&E says. "MC Hammer is an iconic figure in American pop
culture, but many people only know him for his music and fashion sense."
Emily
Blunt had originally been cast as Black Widow in Iron
Man 2 but due to her commitments to Gulliver's Travels with
Jack Black and Jason Segal may prevent her from starring in the
picture. For you non-comic book fans, Black Widow was also named Natasha and was
world class athlete and martial artist recruited by the S.H.I.E.L.D. agency led
by Nick Fury. Marvel is in discussions with other actresses, most significantly
Scarlett Johansson, to take her place.
Coldplay's Viva La Vida Or Death And All His Friends was the top
selling album globally in 2008. It sold 6.8 million copies around the world. The
most popular digital single of '08 was Lil Wayne’s song
Lollipop.
Guns N' Roses' long awaited comeback album Chinese Democracy
is set to be made available on the Rock Band series. The LP is to
be released this spring as a full record of downloadable content. "They felt the
record-based on the nature and complexity of the depth of
instrumentation-deserved a bit more attention and some more involved elements
than they've generally dealt with," Axl Rose said.
Don Johnson sued the producers of Nash Bridges for
tens of millions of dollars, what he claims he's owed for the series.
The Watchmen have won their first battle. Romantic comedy All
About Steve, starring Sandra Bullock as a crossword expert
stalking a news cameraman, has been moved to fall from its planned March 6 date.
That moves it out of the crosshairs of superhero juggernaut Watchmen and into
romance friendlier territory. That also saves it from possibly competing with
similar films like He's Just Not That Into You and Confessions of a
Shopaholic.
My Boys will belly back up to the bar in the spring. TBS
has set a March 31 premiere date for the third season of its comedy, which stars
Jordana Spiro as a Chicago sportswriter. Like the show's previous
season, it will run for nine episodes.
Ozzy Osbourne will be given a Lifetime Achievement Award at
Epiphone and Revolver magazine's Golden Gods Awards on
April 7 in Los Angeles.
Halle Berry will join the project Who is Doris Payne,
a film based on a true story about an international jewel thief.
T-Pain is bringing Auto-Tune to your cell phone. The star is set to make
an Auto-Tune application for the iphone. The program allows you to change
the pitch of your voice and create your own T-Pain signature songs.
