Fantastic Mr. Fox
Mr. (George Clooney) and Mrs. (Meryl Streep) Fox
live an idyllic home life with their son Ash and visiting young nephew
Kristopherson. But after 12 years, the tranquil existence proves too much for M.
Fox's wild animal instincts. Soon he slips back into his old ways as a sneaky
chicken thief and in doing so, endangers not only his beloved family, but the
whole animal community. Trapped underground and with not enough food to go
around, the animals band together to fight against the evil Farmers, Boggis,
Bunce and Bean, who are determined to capture the audacious, fantastic Mr. Fox
at any cost. Based on the beloved book by Roald Dahl.

Angels & Demons
When Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) discovers evidence of the
resurgence of an ancient secret brotherhood known as the Illuminati, the most
powerful underground organization in history, he also faces a deadly threat to
the existence of the secret organization's most despised enemy: the Catholic
Church. When Langdon learns that the clock is ticking on an unstoppable
Illuminati time bomb, he jets to Rome, where he joins forces with Vittoria Vetra,
a beautiful and enigmatic Italian scientist. Embarking on a nonstop hunt through
sealed crypts, dangerous catacombs, deserted cathedrals and even to the heart of
the most secretive vault on earth, Langdon and Vetra will follow a 400 year old
trail of ancient symbols that mark the Vatican's only hope for survival.
The Buzz...
The Twilight Saga: New Moon dawned with a hot blooded estimated $140.7
million on approximately 8,500 screens at 4,024 sites over the weekend, charting
as the third highest grossing opening behind only The Dark Knight and
Spider-Man 3 and the biggest of 2009. With the advent of New Moon, not to
mention an excellent showing by The Blind Side, overall business surged
56 percent over the same weekend last year when Twilight and Bolt
debuted and was the second highest seen in history, behind the weekend that The
Dark Knight opened.
ABC's Cougar Town has temporarily shutdown production. Production on the
freshman comedy was halted last week. The expect specifics of the shutdown are
unclear, though ABC told the trade paper that the pause was due to a
"private family matter" involving star Courteney Cox. There is no
word when filming on the series, which has been picked up for a full season,
will resume.
Oprah Winfrey has a surprising project in the works. Her Harpo
Films has made a deal with HBO to team on a sexually charged hourlong
series pilot about a woman who leaves her seemingly perfect marriage and
children in Santa Monica for the underbelly of L.A., where she indulges her
secret fantasies and desires.
Lauren Conrad is coming out with another book. The former Hills
star will release a fashion advice book in the fall of 2010 called Lauren
Conrad Style. Lauren says her book will “offer simple, practical tips to
help anyone look fabulous.” Conrad has already published the best selling novel
L.A. Candy.
Surrounded by friends, family and rumored boyfriend Liam Hemsworth, Miley
Cyrus, who turned 17, let loose with an '80s themed bash last week at New
York City's Canal Room. "The whole thing was a surprise," says a source close to
Cyrus, who enjoyed a performance by the cast of Broadway's Rock of Ages
and blew out candles on a custom designed cake created by Buddy
Valastro, the star of TLC's Cake Boss.
Four years after High School Musical ushered in its own
cultural revolution, achieving a staggering popularity among pre-teens
worldwide, Disney has announced that it is remaking the film with Chinese
partners for release next summer. The news comes weeks after Disney said
Chinese authorities had approved plans for a theme park in Shanghai.

One of the most integral and interesting characters on Friday Night Lights
may be out of the lineup for much of the rest of the season. And he may not be
back for next season, either. Taylor Kitsch could be out of Friday
Night Lights after the next few episodes. Michael Ausiello is
reporting that executive producer Jason Katims confirmed that
Taylor's conflicting schedule with a big screen project has mucked up the works.
This is definitely Taylor Swift's year. The 19 year old twanger

posthumous awards including Favorite Pop/Rock Artist and Pop/Rock Album for his
2003 greatest hits set, Number Ones bringing his Ama career total to 25.
Bieber Fever hit Long Island, resulting in minor injuries and one arrest.

Roosevelt Field Mall in Garden City, New York. Pushing and shoving matches broke
out and a barrier collapsed, forcing the police were required to intervene and
thus cancel the appearance.
Black Eyed Peas manager Liborio “Polo”
