Cop Out
Two longtime NYPD partners (Bruce Willis and Tracy
Morgan) on the trail of a stolen, rare, mint condition baseball card find
themselves up against a merciless, memorabilia obsessed gangster. Jimmy the
veteran detective whose missing collectible is his only hope to pay for his
daughter's upcoming wedding, and Paul is his "partner against crime" whose
preoccupation with his wife's alleged infidelity makes it hard for him to keep
his eye on the ball.

Justice League: Crisis on Two Earths
In a parallel universe, the lone survivor of Earth’s Justice League, Lex
Luthor, travels through other world dimensions to join forces with
Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern,
The Flash and J’onn J’onzz in a desperate attempt to save
his world and its people. But the villainous Crime Syndicate, controlled by
Ultraman, Owlman, and Superwoman, will stop at nothing to
maintain their domination. It will take wits, might, and a sacrifice to defeat
these unforgiving enemies.
The Buzz...
Sarah Palin and Simon Cowell are among the first
guests who have agreed to appear on The Tonight Show when
Jay Leno returns on March 1. His first night back will have
Jamie Foxx and Olympic Gold medal skier Lindsey Vonn on
the couch, with a musical performance by Brad Paisley. But on
Tuesday, Leno is sure to get the eyeballs with an appearance from Palin, who
will be joined by Olympic Gold medal snowboarder Shaun White. On
March 3, the cast of MTV's Jersey Shore will help with Leno's
Jaywalk All-Stars segment.
Taylor Lautner will be presenting at this year's 82nd
Academy Awards. However, not only will the Twilight star be appearing
at the Kodak Theater, but his co-star Kristen Stewart will be on
hand as well. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences announced that
Lautner, Stewart, Zac Efron and Miley Cyrus would
all be part of the March 7 event today. This isn't surprising as co-produce
Adam Shankman has made it a priority to get younger stars to appear
on the show.
Tiger Woods's longtime caddy, Steve Williams, promises it
will be business as usual when Woods returns to golf - and that includes a zero
tolerance policy when it comes to hecklers in the crowd. "Nothing will change,"
Williams tells Australia's Sun-Herald. "My job is to give him the best
information I can and get him around in the fewest possible strokes."
Simon Cowell's rep, Max Clifford, tells People
he cannot confirm reports that the American Idol judge is engaged to makeup
artist Mezhgan Hussainy. But don't be surprised if Cowell pops the
question before too long.
Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson will add a further proverbial string to his
acting bow with Mario Van Peebles' football drama,
Things Fall Apart. Fiddy will take the lead role of a star running back "who
faces a personal tragedy as well as his own mortality while in his senior year
in college.
Director Kevin Smith has confirmed that Seann William
Scott will be taking the lead in his hockey flavoured comedy, Hit
Somebody. Talking with NHL.com, the funnyman said that Scott,
formerly and most famously Stifler in the American Pie series,
will play the role of Buddy. The film is based on the song of the same name by
Warren Zevon, and follows the exploits of a hockey goon whose
dream is to score a single goal.
Katee Sackhoff has been a real workhouse on TV shows. She's had a
recurring role on many of the big shows of the past five years: Battlestar
Galactica, Nip/Tuck, Bionic Woman, and had a rather
big guest role on Big Bang Theory. She's currently
co-starring on 24 but who knows what's going to happen to her character
since she has just signed to headline her own show. Sackhoff will star in a new
pilot for ABC, a crime drama about a detective who teams up with an
ex-cop, according to The Hollywood Reporter. They
investigate crimes and also try to figure out who drove him off the force.
Alexa Ray Joel has become the new face for Prell
shampoo, nearly 25 years after her mother, Christie Brinkley, was
featured in ads for the brand.
Lorne Michaels is finally in negotiations with Betty
White to to appear on his sketch comedy show. Michaels is planning a
Saturday Night Live: Women in Comedy Special that would
feature White co-hosting with several of her contemporaries, including possibly
Molly Shannon, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
The special would get White inside studio 8H without depending on the
octogenarian to shoulder the entire 90 minute program.
Despite record ratings, NBC has taken a barrage of critical hits over its
Winter Olympics coverage, particularly the network’s decision to show many
marquee events on a tape delay in primetime, rather than live. But none were as
big as the one the network took on Sunday night, when it decided to show the
most anticipated event of the Games so far, the United States’ thrilling,
historic upset of Canada in men’s hockey, its first since 1960, live on MSNBC
rather than NBC, where it chose to showcase the “sport” known as ice dancing.
A tour that fans of rock and horror have been waiting for for years is finally a
reality: Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper, the "gruesome
twosome", are teaming for a limited run of North American dates starting April
26th at the MTS Center in Winnipeg, MB.
