Just Go With It
Adam Sandler enlists Jennifer
Aniston to pretend to be his soon to be ex wife, in
order to cover up a careless lie that snowballs. A
plastic surgeon (Sandler), romancing a much younger
schoolteacher, enlists his loyal assistant (Aniston) to
pretend to be his soon to be ex-wife, in order to cover
up a careless lie. When more lies backfire, the
assistant's kids become involved, and everyone heads off
for a weekend in Hawaii that will change all their
lives.

Life as We Know It
Katherine Heigl and Josh Duhamel star as two very
different people who get their lives turned upside down. Holly Berenson is an up
and coming caterer and Eric Messer is a promising network sports director. After
a disastrous first date, the only thing they have in common is their dislike for
each other and their love for their goddaughter, Sophie. But when they suddenly
become all Sophie has in the world, Holly and Eric are forced to put their
differences aside. Juggling career ambitions and competing social calendars,
they'll have to find some common ground while living under one roof.
The Buzz...
You'd think Kim Kardashian would be familiar with the expression
shake what your mama gave you. Unfortunately, the reality star was more or less
paralyzed when invited on stage at Madison Square Garden to dance with Prince.
The singer tried to motivate her briefly before dismissing her for failing to
bring the funk. Naturally, a barrage of tweets followed. "I was so nervous I
froze when Prince touched me," writes Kim, before quickly following up: "Went up
on stage AGAIN! This time I redeemed myself! We all danced while Prince played
the piano! Wow! What a night!"
Larry Granillo over at Baseball Prospectus has figured out which
game Ferris Bueller, Cameron and Sloane were in attendance at
during the 1986 John Hughes movie Ferris Bueller's Day Off.
The game was a real game, not something staged for the film. Using super sleuth
prowess and excellent research skills, Granillo figures out it is none other
than the June 5, 1985 game between the Cubs and the Atlanta
Braves (which the Cubs lost 4-2 in extra innings). But that's not all.
Granillo also says the timeline for stealing Abe Froman's lunch reservations and
getting to the 1:25 p.m. game at Wrigley totally fit.
Was it too much to hope that Josh Duhamel would be reunited with
former All My Children co-star Kelly Ripa on Live! With
Regis and Kelly? Apparently so. Duhamel’s representative hase denied
Entertainment Tonight’s report the model turned soap star turned A
lister is in contention to replace Regis Philbin. Duhamel's rep
tells The Hollywood Reporter that "there is no truth" to the
reports that the actor will step in or is in the running to replace Philbin on
Live! With Regis and Kelly.
Cobie Smulders is in final negotiations to play Maria Hill in
The Avengers. Maria Hill is a major character in the Marvel Universe
of fairly recent vintage. She was originally created for the comics in 2005, as
an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., and eventually became a second to Nick Fury. She
played an important role in the Civil War story-arc, and she became a real
threat to many of Marvel's most important heroes.
Is one of Hollywood’s longstanding celebrity feuds finally ending? Donald
Trump’s appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show with the entire Trump
clan may have helped cool off his ongoing war of words with Rosie O’Donnell.
A Rosie fan posted a question on her blog, asking, “Rosie, did you see Oprah
today with the Trump family.” “i did,” Rosie, who is slated to have a show on
Oprah’s OWN, wrote. “and found him likable.”
In its fifth full week of programming, OWN: The Oprah Winfrey
Network was down 17% vs. last week with last week among women 25-54 in
total day (40,000 vs. 48,000), and down 34% among women 25-54 in primetime
(54,000 vs. 82,000). OWN is now well below last year’s women 25-54 averages for
Discovery Health . OWN replaced Discovery Health which averaged
51,000 W25-54 Total Day, and 84,000 W25-54 in Prime Time during 2010.
Lindsay Lohan's people have had multiple phone conversations with
producers behind the Superman franchise reboot about the actress
appearing in the film. She's reportedly supposed to meet with the team behind
the movie, which recently cast Henry Cavill in the lead role as
the iconic Man of Steel, soon.
Bristol Palin has reportedly written a book. The still untitled
memoir, coming in at 304 pages, is slated to hit stores on June 21. Since
Snooki, Lauren Conrad, Whitney Port and
Justin Bieber all wrote books (with the help of ghost writers), we
guess it's OK for Bristol to do so too.
Super Bowl commercial break out star, Max Page, who
played Little Darth Vader in Volkswagen's Passat
commercial, met the voice of the real Darth Vader. James Earl Jones
presented the six year old actor with an authentic Vader helmet backstage at his
show, Driving Miss Daisy, on Broadway.
Michael Moore has crunched the numbers and concluded he is owed
millions of dollars more for his film Fahrenheit 9/11. The documentary
filmmaker sued financiers Bob Weinstein and Harvey
Weinstein in Los Angeles, claiming the brothers have used creative
accounting to keep Moore from receiving more than $2.7 million for the 2004
documentary.
The Brothers Grimm: Snow White has found its Evil Queen.
Julia Roberts will be playing the villainous role for the Brett
Ratner produced film for Relativity.
The Walt Disney Company seems to have shaken off any
lingering aftershocks felt by the recession, as profits soared 54 percent to
$1.3 billion during the first quarter ending this January. That is up from $844
million in the same period a year ago. The staggering jump in profitability was
aided not just by strong home entertainment sales for Toy Story 3 and
rising ad rates for its cable and television networks, but also the $660 million
sale of Miramax.
