Limitless
Bradley Cooper is an ordinary guy whose
life transforms when he takes an experimental brain
altering smart drug. Aspiring author Eddie Morra
(Cooper) is suffering from chronic writer's block, but
his life changes instantly when an old friend introduces
him to NZT, a revolutionary new pharmaceutical that
allows him to tap his full potential. With every synapse
crackling, Eddie can recall everything he has ever read,
seen or heard, learn any language in a day, comprehend
complex equations and beguile anyone he meets; as long
as he keeps taking the untested drug. Soon Eddie takes
Wall Street by storm, parlaying a small stake into
millions. His accomplishments catch the eye of
mega-mogul Carl Van Loon, who invites him to help broker
the largest merger in corporate history. But they also
bring Eddie to the attention of people willing to do
anything to get their hands on his stash of NZT. With
his life in jeopardy and the drug's brutal side effects
taking their toll, Eddie dodges mysterious stalkers, a
vicious gangster and an intense police investigation as
he attempts to hang on to his dwindling supply long
enough to outwit his enemies.

The Fighter
Christian Bale and Melissa Leo give knockout Oscar
winning performances in director David O. Russell's inspirational,
against all odds true story of boxer "Irish" Mickey Ward and his
trainer brother Dick Eklund. Nominated for seven Academy Awards,
including Best Picture, Best Director and Best
Original Screenplay, the drama chronicles the brothers' early days
on the rough streets of Lowell, Massachusetts through Eklund's battle with drugs
and Ward's eventual world championship in London, a powerful journey that united
his fractured family and brought pride to his blue collar hometown.
The Buzz...
Simon Cowell stopped by Piers Morgan Tonight
to talk about his reality shows, past and present. He tells Morgan that Idol
has definitely seen an improvement this year. "I personally think it is a better
show than last year," Cowell says. "It feels to me they've got their energy
back, they're confident, they're competitive. And I said to everybody on The
X Factor, if you think 'Idol's' gonna be the same as last year, think
again."
Before he sheared those curly locks to play the buttoned down Blaine on
Glee, Darren Criss made a bid for fame/romance on a Fuse
dating show. The short lived You Rock, Let's Roll enjoyed a one season
run in 2008, and, during a recent repeat, someone recognized one of the
contestants and sent the info to a Criss fan site.
Former That '70s Show star Wilmer Valderrama will
(possibly) return to network TV in NBC's drama pilot REM.
Valderrama is one of five actors who have been cast in the pilot.
If life just hasn't been the same for you since Larry King left
CNN suspender less and stuck with Piers Morgan, you may be in luck. After an
initial report from the New York Post, The Hollywood
Reporter confirms that Comedy Central has spoken with King
about coming on board The Daily Show as an occasional contributor.
Skylar Grey, the woman singing the biggest hooks of the past year,
has been signed to Interscope Records. Most recently, Grey has
appeared on Dr. Dre and Eminem’s I Need a Doctor,
Lupe Fiasco’s Words I Never Said, Diddy Dirty Money’s
Coming Home and the original version of Eminem’s Love
The Way You Lie.
Gilbert Gottfried’s Aflac duck is no more: After the actor
tweeted a series of insensitive jokes following the earthquake and tsunami in
Japan, the insurance company announced it was parting ways with the actor, who
famously voices the Aflac duck in the popular commercials.
Hereafter, the Clint Eastwood film that dramatically
recreates a tsunami, has been pulled from Japanese theaters after the earthquake
and flooding in Japan.
Count Disney among those who don't wish to live on a Yellow
Submarine. The studio has abandoned Robert Zemeckis' stop motion
homage to the Beatles. The move looks smart after the Zemeckis produced
Mars Needs Moms flopped at the box office last weekend. The
family film, made with similar motion capture technology, cost $150 million to
make. It brought in a limp $6.9 million in its opening weekend.
It seems that a sex tape Usher filmed with his ex-wife, Tameka
Foster, is being shopped around to celebrity websites. TMZ reports
that they were sent screen grabs by a seller interested in making a deal with
the company.
You can call it the unofficial 2011 YouTube tour. Greyson
Chance and Cody Simpson, both discovered on YouTube (Chance –
Ellen, Simpson – Shawn Campbell, producer for Jay-Z
among others) are touring together this spring.
