Mission: Impossible - The Final Reckoning
Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise) and the IMF team continue their search for
the terrifying AI known as the Entity, which has infiltrated intelligence
networks all over the globe, with the world's governments and a mysterious ghost
from Ethan's past on their trail. Joined by new allies and armed with the means
to shut the Entity down for good, Hunt is in a race against time to prevent the
world as we know it from changing forever. This movie successfully concludes
this 30 year old franchise. The action was superb but not over the top. There
are a lot of characters from the past that being brought back naturally, which
is a nice touch.

Lilo & Stitch
This is everything a live action remake should be,
heartfelt, visually breathtaking, and full of soul.
Disney has managed to breathe new life into a beloved
classic while respecting its original charm. The young
actress portraying Lilo delivers a powerful, authentic
performance, capturing the character's emotional depth
and playful spirit. Stitch is brilliantly brought to
life through seamless CGI, making him feel real and
expressive without losing his quirky personality. The
film strikes a perfect balance between nostalgia and
freshness. Iconic moments from the animated version are
lovingly recreated, while new scenes add depth and
emotional resonance. The soundtrack is a delightful
blend of classic and new music, enhancing every scene
with warmth and energy.

Murderbot (AppleTV+)
A security android struggles with emotions and free will
while balancing dangerous missions and desire for
isolation, evading detection of its self-hacking as it
finds its place. For fans who love the MB books, this
adaptation hits all the right notes. It stays true to
the source material while making sharp adjustments for
the different medium. Alex Skarsgard does
an amazing job bringing this unique character to life.
One effective change is the depth of the supporting
cast. In the books, everything is told from MB's POV;
that just wouldn't work on TV. This adds a lot of
suspense in the early episodes, and allows the viewer to
grow attached to them along with MB.
