Karate Kid: Legends
When kung fu prodigy Li Fong (Ben Wang) relocates to New York City
with his mother to attend a prestigious new school, he finds solace in a new
friendship with a classmate and her father. But his newfound peace is
short-lived after he attracts unwanted attention from a formidable local karate
champion. Driven by a desire to defend himself, Li embarks on a journey to enter
the ultimate karate competition. Guided by the wisdom of his kung fu teacher,
Mr. Han (Jackie Chan), and the legendary Karate Kid, Daniel
LaRusso (Ralph Macchio), Li merges their unique styles to prepare
for an epic martial arts showdown.

Another Simple Favor (Prime Video)
Stephanie Smothers (Anna Kendrick) and
Emily Nelson (Blake Lively) reunite on the
island of Capri, Italy for Emily's extravagant wedding
to a rich Italian businessman, which is interrupted by
murder and betrayal. The cast, the story continuity from
A Simple Favor are flawless and captivating at every
turn. Kendrick and Lively deliver beautifully on peeling
back the layers we saw in the original for both Emily
and Stephanie, respectively, and take this up to peak
vibe levels with familiar favorites but always
surprising us in their versatility.

Peter Kwong, a martial artist and actor
who played one of the Three Storms in Big
Trouble in Little China and a
henchman in The Golden Child during
a prolific acting career and was active in actors union
politics and the movie and TV academy leadership, has
died. He was 73.
Eddie Murphy and Jennifer Hudson
have not seen each other in over 18 years, but that all
just changed on an episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.
The two actors worked together on the movie
Dreamgirls and both earned Oscar nominations
for their performances, with Jennifer taking home a win
for Best Supporting Actress.
The cast of Max’s Sex and the City spinoff
And Just Like That… is continuing their
promo in Paris. The show’s stars, Sarah
Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon,
Kristin Davis, Nicole Ari
Parker and Sarita Choudhury, attended
a premiere in the City of Light on May 28.
Courtney Eaton and Sophie
Nélisse, two breakout performers from
Yellowjackets, will co-star in an adaptation of
Kathleen Glasgow’s novel, Girl in
Pieces.
Ed Gale, who made his film debut wearing
the Howard the Duck suit and went
on to play Chuckie in Child’s Play and two other
films in the series, died in Los Angeles. He was 61.
Fifth Harmony is reportedly planning a
reunion, though Camila Cabello will still
not be involved with the girl group. The group’s four
remaining members, Normani, Ally Brooke,
Dinah Jane, and Lauren Jauregui,
are in talks to reunite as a foursome.
Five months after late auteur David Lynch
died at age 78, the filmmaker’s personal collections
will be put up for auction by his estate. Lynch suddenly
passed January 17, 2025.
Crystal Lake, Peacock’s upcoming
Friday the 13th prequel series, has
added William Catlett to its cast. Catlett
will star alongside previously announced series lead
Linda Cardellini, who will play Pamela
Voorhees. Catlett will star as Levon Brooks,
though exact character details remain under wraps.
