Taylor Swift: Release Party of a Showgirl
Taylor Swift presents a behind the scenes look at the making of her record The Life of a Showgirl. Swift's official release party for Show Girl is a truly wonderful and memorable event, offering a glimpse into her creative vision that left a strong impact. While the event may not have been extensive in content, what was presented was undeniably awesome, particularly the video song for Fate of Ophelia. The event's greatest strength was the quality of its production and the emotional depth of the material. The majority of the runtime is dedicated to lyric videos for all 12 songs from The Life Of A Showgirl, with short introductions featuring Swift giving insight into each track.

The Smashing Machine
Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson will portray former MMA/UFC champion Mark Kerr aka The Smashing Machine, in a story based on the true events surrounding Kerr's life and rise through the MMA world which was unfortunately derailed by his opioid addiction. Johnson has done a lot in his career; action blockbusters, comedies, even family films, but nothing prepares you for the raw, unfiltered power of The Smashing Machine. For me, this movie isn't just about Mark Kerr's story. It's about Johnson finally proving himself as one of the great actors of his generation. From the very first frame, Benny Safdie's direction pulls you into a world of blood, sweat, and broken dreams. The fight sequences are brutal yet beautiful, shot on grainy 16mm film that makes you feel like you're inside the cage. But the real fight here isn't against an opponent-it's Kerr battling himself, his addictions, and the weight of expectations.

The Lost Bus (AppleTV+)
During the 2018 Camp Fire in Paradise California, the deadliest wildfire in the state's history, 22 elementary school kids are stranded at their school as their families are unable to get them before the fires spread. Now one school bus driver (Matthew McConaughey) must attempt to drive the kids and a teacher to safety as the wildfire rages around them. Loosely based on a true story. What works best here is the way the film blends survival tension with personal drama, making the stakes feel more grounded and human. The direction keeps the suspense alive without going overboard, and visually, the film captures the claustrophobic and unsettling tone well.

The Buzz...
A docuseries about actor Elizabeth Taylor, produced by Kim Kardashian, has been acquired by Fox News’ streaming service, Fox Nation. Titled Elizabeth Taylor: Rebel Superstar, the three part docuseries, produced by Kardashian with Passion Pictures and distributed internationally by Fremantle, will make its U.S. debut on Fox Nation on Oct. 6.

Pop star Taylor Swift is returning to cinemas with The Official Release Party of a Showgirl, which is tracking a debut of $35 million to $40 million over the weekend. Those projected ticket sales are significant considering Showgirl was announced just two weeks ago and is entering theaters with minimal promotion outside of Swift’s social media feeds.

Elizabeth (Erin Krakow) is going to see a familiar face when she reaches Cape Fullerton in When Calls the Heart Season 13. Brooke Shields is returning as Charlotte Thornton in Season 13. Shields will guest star in three episodes of the upcoming season, which is set to premiere in 2026.

Netflix has filled out the cast of its limited series The Age of Innocence, adding 14 actors to the adaptation of Edith Wharton’s classic novel. Three new additions, Fiona Glascott, Belinda Bromilow and Emma Shipp, will be series regulars, joining the previously cast.

Taylor Swift shared that her soon to be husband Travis Kelce had “the whole back garden” turned into the stage on which he would propose to her. To keep the surprise intact, he had her on his podcast New Heights, ensuring they’d be filming while the set-up happened outside.

Kylie Jenner and Rosalía are having a girl’s night out in the French capital. The close friends dined out at the Italian restaurant Gigi in Paris amid Fashion Week.

After going at it on X / Twitter for days, Cardi B and Nicki Minaj are apologizing to each other’s kids, who were referred to by name in a series of low blows issued by both rappers.

Stardust Racers is opening back up to the public. The roller coaster at Universal Studios Orlando‘s new theme park Epic Universe has been closed for over two weeks following a rider passing away after going on the attraction.

The next installment of Resident Evil is gaining a few more stars. Weapons filmmaker Zach Cregger is set to helm the new reboot of the horror franchise and three more actors have been cast in the movie, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis and Johnno Wilson.

Hailey Welch, also known as “Hawk Tuah Girl,” is responding to a video posted by actress Brittney Rae Carrera who claims Hailey replaced her in the new comedy series Chad Powers starring Glen Powell. “I wasn’t made aware this was happening and it was in no way malicious at all. I actually love her content and think she is a funny and sweet girl,” Hailey concluded.

Andrew Sorkin is making a sequel to The Social Network. This time out, he's not only writing the script, but taking the directorial reins from David Fincher. The stars of the first film will not be reprising their roles.
