Horrible Bosses
Three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly
foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective
intolerable bosses... permanently. For Nick (Jason
Bateman), Kurt (Jason Sudeikis) and
Dale (Charlie Day), the only thing that
would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to
grind their intolerable bosses (Colin Farrell,
Jennifer Aniston and Kevin
Spacey) into dust. Quitting is not an option, so,
with the benefit of a few too many drinks and some
dubious advice from a hustling ex-con (Jamie Foxx),
the three friends devise a foolproof plan to rid
themselves of their employers. There's only one problem:
even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the
brains behind them.

13 Assassins
It is the end of Japan's feudal era. A group of unemployed samurai are
enlisted to bring down a sadistic lord and prevent him from ascending to the
throne and plunging the country into a war torn future. Lord Naritsugu is a
sadistic and terrifying ruler, a man who goes to great lengths to bring fear to
the people and so romanticized with the ways of war and death that his
leadership is questioned. His reckless behavior is seen as too high risk for the
nation should he ascend to an higher position, therefore respected samurai
Shinzaemon is secretly called on to gather a team of samurai to assassin him.
The Buzz...
Megan Fox's representative has confirmed the actress became
romantically involved with Shia Labeouf on the set of
Transformers, after he went public with the fling earlier this week. LaBeouf
refused to go into details over the romance with his co-star, but he hinted
during an interview that they became more than friends on the set.
Former California first lady Maria Shriver filed for divorce
Friday from her estranged husband, Arnold Schwarzenegger, the
ex-governor and film star who has admitted fathering a child out of wedlock more
than a decade ago. Shriver, 55, a former television journalist and a daughter of
the Kennedy political dynasty, filed papers seeking to dissolve her 25 year
marriage to Schwarzenegger, 63, in Los Angeles County Superior Court, citing
irreconcilable differences.
Singer Aaron Carter has angrily denied reports suggesting
Michael Jackson offered him cocaine when he was a teenager, insisting
remarks he made to a reporter have been misquoted. The former child star, a
longtime pal of Jackson, reportedly told OK! magazine's Daphne Barak the
King of Pop had offered him wine and drugs when he was 15 in an interview that
has run in the Australian issue of the publication. But now Carter insists he
did not make the comments.
Singer turned actor Justin Timberlake has acquired a minority
stake in the social media site MySpace, the beleaguered rival to
Facebook. Timberlake says he wants to inject new life into the networking
portal that has experienced a significant decrease in traffic as Facebook's
popularity has soared. The 30 year old teamed up with digital media firm
Specific Media to buy MySpace from Rupert Murdoch's
News Corp, reportedly for $35 million. That's far less than the $580
million that News Corp paid for Myspace in 2005.
Chelsea Handler's semi autobiographical sitcom Are You There
Vodka? It's Me, Chelsea, is hoping that a major overhaul will improve the
show. The NBC series has canned three actors, nearly half its cast, in a
total revamp of the premise. White Collar's Natalie
Morales is out, as is Angel Laketa Moore from ER.
In a rather awkward move, they've also ousted Jo Koy, a comedian
and friend of Handler's, who has appeared on over 38 episodes of her show
Chelsea Lately.
How much would someone have to pay you to spill your family's deepest secrets?
Maria Shriver may be putting a price on privacy, as publishing
executives are prepared to offer Arnold Schwarzenegger's soon to
be ex wife a record advance for a tell all memoir. The largest book advance ever
currently belongs to Bill Clinton, who pocketed $15 million for
his memoir My Life before he even wrote it. Shriver's
recollections would certainly be juicy, even without the current paternity
scandal plaguing her family. Shriver is a Kennedy, and the fascination
with that family never fades. After growing up Democrat royalty, Shriver married
a movie star who ultimately ran as a Republican.
After the Twilight phenomenon made Kristen Stewart a
paparazzi target, we didn't think she'd ever agree to participate in a franchise
again. It turns out that her newest project, Snow White and The Huntsman
is actually part of a planned trilogy. Stewart stars opposite Chris
Hemsworth in an impressive cast that includes Charlize Theron
as the wicked queen. There has been plenty of buzz around the movie, mostly
involving the fact that another Snow White movie, starring Lily
Collins and Armie Hammer, is currently in production.
Paul Feig’s Bridesmaids is the little comedy that could.
Despite a modest budget and no A-list stars, the Judd Apatow
produced film has been a consistent staple on the box office charts week after
week. Now, after recently becoming the highest grossing entry in Judd Apatow's
library, Bridesmaids has become the highest grossing R-rated female comedy ever.
The film’s current domestic tally sits at $152.9 million, enough to dethrone the
previous top R-rated female comedy record holder Sex and the City.
It's been reported that Vinny Guadagnino has quit the Jersey
Shore house and TV show for good. Sources connected to the MTV
reality show said Guadagnino left the house late Friday (July 1) night after
getting into an argument with an unnamed cast member.
Olivia Wilde has been linked to her latest movie co-star Chris
Pine as speculation about the newly single actress' love life increases.
The Tron: Legacy star filed for divorce from Italian prince Tao
Ruspoli in March, citing irreconcilable differences, and has subsequently
been linked to both Justin Timberlake and Bradley Cooper,
but denied rumours of romance.
