Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2
Harry (Daniel Radcliffe), Ron (Rupert
Grint) and Hermione (Emma Watson)
learn that a Horcrux that holds a piece of Lord
Voldemort's soul has been hidden at Hogwarts, so they
sneak into the school, which is heavily guarded by the
Dark Lord's forces, to recover it. While there, Harry
views the memories of Severus Snape and finds out
something surprising about his former teacher. Harry is
called upon to make the ultimate sacrifice as he draws
closer to a final showdown with Lord Voldemort.

Johnny Depp leads an all star voice cast in the hit animated comedy
about an ordinary family pet facing a major identity crisis. How high can you
aim when your whole purpose in life is to blend in? When Rango accidentally
winds up in the gritty, gun slinging town of Dirt, a lawless outpost populated
by the desert's most wily and whimsical creatures, the less than courageous
lizard suddenly finds he stands out. Welcomed as the last hope the town has been
waiting for, new Sheriff Rango is forced to play his new role to the hilt; until
he starts to become the hero he once only pretended to be.

Arnold is back. The disgraced ex-governor and ex-movie star Arnold
Schwarzenegger is set to go back to acting in an action picture in which
he’ll play one of his favorite roles, an enforcer making a comeback.
Schwarzenegger has struck a deal to star in Last Stand, playing an
aging sheriff seeking to protect his border town from a drug kingpin.
NBC’s The Firm is firming up its cast. Natural
Born Killers and Cape Fear star Juliette
Lewis is joining the legal drama, along with The Killing’s
Callum Keith Rennie. They join previously announced star
Josh Lucas in the NBC update of John Grisham’s novel,
with Lucas playing lawyer Mitchell McDeere.
Transformers: Dark of the Moon officially became the top movie at the box
office this year when it earned an additional $47.1 million in its second
weekend to bring its domestic total to $261.1 million. It thereby replaced
The Hangover: Part II in the top spot.
Actress Courteney Cox is set to share her beauty secrets in a new
lifestyle blog. The former Friends star has been handed the position of
Home Editor for xoJane.com, where she will offer tips and product
suggestions for women desperate to have young looking skin and more energy.
It may have started as a bet, but Sgt. Scott Moore's YouTube
video will end with a famous date. Mila Kunis agreed to accompany
Moore to the Marine Corps Ball on Nov. 18 in Greenville,
N.C., after he posted a YouTube video asking the actress to be his date. Turns
out Moore made the video as the result of a bet with a fellow Marine. "I always
thought I had a chance, and sometimes that’s all you need," Moore says. The
Marine also thanked Justin Timberlake for telling his Friends
with Benefits costar about the video and encouraging her to
accept.
Harmonix, creator of the Rock Band video game franchise,
announced that it will release a Soundgarden themed downloadable content
package called Celebrating Soundgarden on Tour 2011 this month for Rock Band 3.
The set will include six songs from the band, according to The Video Game
Writers website. Although it appeared that the rights for Soundgarden's music
had been locked down by Rock Band's competitor Guitar Hero,
Harmonix has worked out a deal to add six songs from the band that are playable
in Rock Band 3. Harmonix also announced a contest in which Rock Band players can
win the six song package by tweeting the tag #SoundgardenRB before the end of
the day on July 12.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers have hired controversial British artist
Damien Hirst to design the cover for their new album. The record is
titled I’m With You, and is due out at the end of August. Says vocalist
Anthony Kiedis of Hirst’s cover: “It’s an image. It’s art. Iconic. We
didn’t give it it’s meaning but it’s clearly open to interpretation.”
Shia La Beouf, best known for his lead role in the
Transformers movies, has announced that he’s making a documentary about
Marilyn Manson’s new album. Le Beouf talked about meeting Manson at
his Los Angeles residence: “He’s a real sweet guy,” he said. “He’s an eccentric
human being. He lives in West Hollywood above a liquor store. There’s no lights
in the room. And there’s sort of these big metal doors and he opens the door and
he’s in a kimono, a big pink kimono. It’s sort of like a lair. No lights, so you
have to use your cell phone to guide you around."
Sherwood Schwartz, who created and wrote the iconic 1960s and '70s
TV series Gilligan's Island and The Brady Bunch,
died today. He was 94. Schwartz was working on a big screen version of
Gilligan's Island.
HBO’s Curb Your Enthusiasm came back super strong Sunday night,
with the eighth season premiere delivering 1.7 million viewers. That’s up 53
percent from its seventh season opener, with 2.1 million tuning in total, when
you include the show’s repeat.
Jewel and Ty Murray are now the proud parents of a baby
boy. The 36 year old singer and her bull riding husband welcomed their first
child in Texas.
One month after Laurence Fishburne's exit, CSI: Crime Scene
Investigation has found an Emmy winning replacement to lead the team.
CBS has confirmed that Ted Danson has signed on as a series
regular for the upcoming 12th season of CSI, joining the show for its shift from
Thursday to Wednesday nights. Danson will play a new CSI Supervisor who takes on
the Las Vegas grave shift after running the crime lab in Portland. CBS says "He
comes to the team as they are still grappling with the professional and personal
fallout from last seasons take down of serial killer, Nate Haskell."
