Captain America: The First Avenger

organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo

Sorry, Lady Gaga, but Rihanna has just passed you by. At
least on the Facebook charts. As of this writing, Barbados born singer
Rihanna has amassed 40,622,133 "likes" for her Facebook page, edging out Gaga,
who lags with 40,580,102 "likes." The good news for Lady Gaga? She still easily
beats Rihanna on the Twitter front, with 11,653,916 followers versus Rihanna's
6,116,687. And according to Famecount's aggregated rankings, Gaga is still tops
among celebrities when her combined Facebook likes, Twitter followers and
YouTube views are taken into account. Rihanna ranks third, behind Gaga
and Justin Bieber.
It's lights out time at nearly 400 Borders stores nationwide. After
failing to generate interest in an auction Monday, the bankrupt book chain
announced that it would liquidate. Borders will lay off 10,700 employees as part
of the closures.
Jailed rapper Ja Rule was sentenced in federal court to 28 months in
prison for failing to pay more than $1 million in taxes. The 35 year old hip-hop
singer and actor, whose real name is Jeffrey Atkins, is already serving a two
year jail sentence on a weapons conviction in New York. The two terms will run
concurrently.
Joe Johnston has revealed that he would like to make a Star Wars
movie spinoff based on the character Boba Fett. Bounty hunter Boba
Fett became a cult favourite of Star Wars fans after his first appearance in
The Empire Strikes Back, before his death in Return of the Jedi.
Johnston was a designer and visual effects art director of the first three Star
Wars films and also designed Fett's famous outfit. The Captain America: The
First Avenger director told Screenrant that he has asked George
Lucas about a possible spinoff, and that he would like to direct
She's 18. He's 36. But the laws of celebrity attraction apparently knew no
boundaries when it came to Demi Lovato secretly connecting with
her most recent boyfriend...Ryan Phillippe! Lovato has been
quietly dating Phillippe, the actor and divorced dad of three (including 2 week
old daughter Kai with ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp), over the last
couple of months.
Antonio "L.A." Reid was officially named head of Epic Records
in a long expected move. Reid, who will do double duty as a judge on Simon
Cowell's singing competition show The X Factor in the fall, will
carry the title of chairman CEO, a fitting role for the man who headed Island
Def Jam from 2004 to 2011.
Grammy-award winning singer-songwriter R. Kelly has failed to make
m ortgage payments on his multimillion dollar Chicago-area home for more than a
year and now may lose the property to lenders, court documents show.
Lionsgate announced that it has closed a deal with Charlie
Sheen to star in Anger Management, a sitcom loosely based on
the 2003 Adam Sandler Jack Nicholson movie. He'll
also have a "significant ownership" stake in the show.
Far from distancing herself from her much downloaded (and much mocked)
YouTube video Friday, Rebecca Black is back on the Web
with a follow-up aimed at settling some scores. With My Moment,
Black embraces her new found fame and takes a shot at those who made fun of her,
singing, "Weren’t you the one who said that I would be nothing? Well, I’m about
to prove you wrong."
