Insidious: The Last Key
Brilliant parapsychologist Elise Rainier receives a
disturbing phone call from a man who claims that his
house is haunted. Even more disturbing is the address,
413 Apple Tree Lane in Five Keys, N.M., the home where
Elise grew up as a child. Accompanied by her two
investigative partners, Rainier travels to Five Keys to
confront and destroy her greatest fear, the demon that
she accidentally set free years earlier.

Battle Of The Sexes
The 1973 tennis match between Billie Jean King (Emma
Stone) and Bobby Riggs (Steve Carell) became
the most watched televised sports event of all time. Trapped in the media glare,
King and Riggs were on opposites sides of a binary argument, but off-court each
was fighting more personal and complex battles. With her husband urging her to
fight for equal pay, the private King was also struggling to come to terms with
her own sexuality, while Riggs gambled his legacy and reputation in a bid to
relive the glories of his past.

Christina El Moussa is ringing in the New Year with a new
love interest. The Flip or Flop star is dating British host Ant
Anstead. El Moussa congratulated the 38 year old TV personality on the
premiere of his show, Wheeler Dealers, by posting a selfie of them
riding bicycles.
36 year old heiress Paris Hilton got engaged to Chris
Zylka over the weekend in Aspen, Colorado. Hilton and Zylka first met at an
Oscars party eight years ago, but the pair didn’t reconnect until two
years ago.
Carrie Underwood is still healing from injuries she suffered after
falling on the steps of her house in November. Underwood, 34, previously said
that she had broken her wrist after falling outside of her home, and on Sunday
she revealed that the incident also caused severe cuts to her face. In a post to
her fan club members, the country singer said that in addition to having surgery
on her wrist, she required “40 and 50 stitches” to her face.
Popular YouTube star Logan Paul issued a lengthy apology
after removing a 15-minute video first posted on Sunday that depicted the dead
body of a man who apparently hanged himself from a tree in Japan’s Aokigahara
forest.
Justin Timberlake announced that his fifth studio album, Man Of
The Woods, will be released Friday, Feb. 2, two days before he takes the
halftime stage at Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis.
Sony's holiday hit Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle overtook
Star Wars: The Last Jedi for the first time on New Year's Day, earning
$16.2 million in North America. That compares to $14.5 million for Disney
and Lucasfilm's The Last Jedi.at the same time, Last Jedi still beat
Jumanji for the weekend itself with an estimated $67 million, pushing the
tentpole's global total to $1.067 billion, including $531.9 million
domestically.
Miss America Organization’s board of directors announced that 1989
crown winner Gretchen Carlson will take over as chairman effective
immediately. Laura Kaeppeler Fleiss, Miss America 2012,
Heather French Henry, Miss America 2000, and Kate
Shindle, Miss America 1998 were also named to the Board as Directors.
Hoda Kotb has been named Matt Lauer’s permanent
Today show replacement, and will co-anchor the 7-9 a.m. hours with Savannah
Guthrie. Though the new pair have been working together each day since the
late-November Lauer firing, NBC News Chairman Andy Lack
made this morning its official debut.
Fans had to have it, so Netflix is giving it to them. Spike Lee’s
She’s Gotta Have It has been renewed for a second season, the creator
announced via Instagram.
