Winchester
After the sudden death of her family, firearms heiress
Sarah Winchester becomes convinced that she's haunted by
the souls of those killed by guns. Winchester then
decides to build an enormous mansion that's designed to
keep the evil spirits at bay. When skeptical
psychiatrist Eric Price visits the estate to evaluate
her state of mind, he soon discovers that her obsession
may not be so far-fetched after all.

If behind every great man is a great woman, then Harvard psychologist and
inventor Dr. William Moulton Marston has the good fortune of having two, his
wife Elizabeth and their mutual lover Olive Byrne. In addition to helping him
perfect the lie detector test, the two women also inspire him to create one of
the greatest female superheroes of all time, the beloved comic book character
Wonder Woman.

Sam Raimi is in negotiations to direct Lionsgate’s
adaptation of The Kingkiller Chronicles, based on Pat Rothfuss’
classic novels.
TriStar has bought the worldwide domestic rights to You Are My Friend,
a biopic starring Tom Hanks as Fred Rogers, the
legendary host of the children’s TV series Mister Rogers Neighborhood.
Paramount has suspended production on Reed Morano’s The
Rhythm Section. Crews are being told to find other work while lead Blake
Lively recovers from a hand injury she sustained in December. TheWrap
previously reported that production had been temporarily suspended because
Lively had injured her wrist while filming an action sequence.
James Corden’s second crack at hosting the Grammy Awards
was nothing compared to his first. Sunday’s CBS special earned a 12.7
household rating/21 share in overnight numbers, according to preliminary
Nielsen numbers. That’s down from a 16 rating/26 share for the 2017
telecast.
Film critic Richard Roeper's reviews and columns will not be
published by the Chicago Sun-Times as an investigation is conducted into
his Twitter following, the paper announced Monday. Roeper was one several
prominent journalists, sports stars, politicians and celebrities who had paid to
increase their Twitter followers with fake accounts.
Despite initial reports that Steven Spielberg would make his
West Side Story remake the next film on his schedule, The
Hollywood Reporter is suggesting the musical will remain on the
back-burner whilst the director finds the right cast, pushing the filming of
Indiana Jones 5 to the top of the list.
KFC has been actively utilizing its chicken mascot, Colonel
Sanders in a number of unique ways over the past year or better. With
several celebrities signing up to show off their skills as the iconic creator of
the fast food chicken chain, one thing that hasn’t been done yet is a female
Colonel Sanders. Country music legend Reba McEntire has agreed to
showcase her talents in true campy fashion with her first commercial portraying
the Colonel.
Meryl Streep has filed a trademark application for the rights to
her own name in media and entertainment. The application, filed with the U.S.
Trademark Office last week, asks for exclusive rights to the name Meryl Streep
as it relates to “live, televised, and movie appearances by a professional
actress and entertainer,” as well as personal appearances and speaking
engagements.
