The Buzz...

The Expanse could find new life on Amazon. The streaming giant is in talks to pick up the sci-fi series for what would be its fourth season. The news comes after NBCUniversal owned cable network Syfy announced they would not be picking up the show again once its third season concludes in June.

Halle Berry and Anjelica Huston are joining the cast of Lionsgate’s third installment of its hit franchise John Wick: Chapter 3. It was already announced that Keanu Reeves, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane as well as Lance Reddick are returning for the Chad Stahelski directed film, which will go through Lionsgate’s Summit Entertainment label for a May 17, 2019 release.

Following the news that Jake Gyllenhaal is in talks to play Mysterio in the sequel to Spider-Man: Homecoming, there are new reports on further developments from the world of the Sinister Six, with the story that Michael Keaton will reprise his role as The Vulture. Last seen incarcerated during the end credits of Spider-Man: Homecoming, Adrian Toomes (Keaton) is confronted by another potential member of the Sinister Six, Mac Margan, aka The Scorpion, so this could mean that fans are getting the origin of Peter Parker’s nemesis posse.

Charlize Theron is set to play Megyn Kelly in Annapurna Pictures’ film about the sexual misconduct allegations aimed at former Fox News chairman Roger Ailes.

Cheyenne Jackson has been cast in Disney’s Descendants 3, in the role of Hades, the underworld ruler from the 1997 Disney animated film Hercules. The movie is set to begin production shortly for a scheduled debut in 2019, and Jackson will join the cast of Dove Cameron, Cameron Boyce, Sofia Carson and Booboo Stewart.

Charlie Day says he and the other stars of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia are hoping the show will go for 15 seasons, which would make it the longest running live action sitcom in history.

Chinese exhibition giant Dadi has pre-bought mainland China distribution rights to Sylvester Stallone fronted action sequels The Expendables 4 and Rambo 5 from Avi Lerner’s Millenium Media.

Hugh Grant is reportedly getting married to his girlfriend of six years, Anna Eberstein, later this month. The Kensington and Chelsea register office posted wedding banns revealing the couple has set a date for their nuptials.

The Billboard Music Awards were packed with the music industry's biggest and brightest talents, chief among them Janet Jackson. After witnessing performances from artists like Ariana Grande, Christina Aguilera, and Demi Lovato, the audience got to see Jackson, who picked up the night's Icon Award, hit the stage for her first televised performance in nine years.
