At The Movies

The Grinch
For their eighth fully animated feature, Illumination and Universal Pictures present The Grinch, based on Dr. Seuss' beloved holiday classic. The Grinch and his loyal dog, Max, live a solitary existence inside a cave on Mount Crumpet. His main source of aggravation comes during Christmastime when his neighbors in Whoville celebrate the holidays with a bang. When the Whos decide to make Christmas bigger and brighter, the disgruntled Grinch realizes there is one way to gain peace and quiet. With help from Max, the green grump hatches a scheme to pose as Santa Claus, steal Christmas and silence the Whos' holiday cheer once and for all.

On DVD

Incredibles 2
Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in Incredibles 2, but this time Helen (Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (Sarah Vowell) and Dash (Huck Milner) to navigate the day to day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again, which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.

The Buzz...

Demi Lovato was spotted out of rehab this weekend, hanging out in the Los Angeles area. The 26 year old pop star recently completed three months of treatment at a rehab center following an apparent overdose in July at her Los Angeles home and an almost two-week hospital stay.

Those who high ponytail together stay together. Camila Cabello praised her pal Ariana Grande for her signature hairdo: the high pony. The "Havana" singer won big at the 2018 MTV EMAs where she won the awards for Best Artist, Best Video and Best Song.

Chelsea Handler is doing whatever she can to get out the vote. The outspoken former talk show host, who has been very vocal about her political leanings in recent months, stripped down to next to nothing in an effort to promote voter participation in the upcoming midterm elections.

The Spice Girls are about to give fans what they really, really want: a reunion. The Sun newspaper says that the 1990s girl group is about to announce a new tour, but without original member Victoria “Posh Spice” Beckham. The newspaper says the band has recorded a message that will be broadcast Monday announcing a 2019 U.K. stadium tour.

Rick Grimes' story isn't over yet, Andrew Lincoln is not yet done with the Walking Dead universe. Despite the fanfare surrounding tonight's episode as his final Walking Dead episode, AMC has announced that Lincoln will star in multiple movies that will continue Rick's story.

For the first time since early February the top three films at the weekend box office were all new releases and leading the way was Fox's Bohemian Rhapsody with a $50 million, chart topping performance, well above expectations.

Prepare for the Power of Grayskull to come three days early. A new She-Ra and the Princesses of Power trailer has been released, featuring both a sneak peek at the opening theme song by Aaliyah Rose and an announcement of a new release date, three days earlier than the original.
