Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker
The surviving Resistance faces the First Order once more
as Rey, Finn and Poe Dameron's journey continues. With
the power and knowledge of generations behind them, the
final battle commences. A year after the events of The
Last Jedi, the remnants of the Resistance face the First
Order once again while reckoning with the past and their
own inner turmoil. Meanwhile, the ancient conflict
between the Jedi and the Sith reaches its climax,
bringing the Skywalker saga to a definitive end.
Pre-sale tickets went on sale on October 21, 2019 and
the film sold more tickets in their first hour of
availability on Atom Tickets than the
previous record-holder for ticket sales, Avengers:
Endgame. It became Atom Tickets' second-best first
day seller of all time behind Endgame, selling more than
twice the number of tickets than The Last
Jedi sold in that same timeframe,

When teenage Yi (Chloe Bennet) encounters a young Yeti on the roof
of her apartment building in Shanghai, she and her mischievous friends, Jin (Tenzing
Norgay Trainor) and Peng (Albert Tsai), name him
“Everest” and embark on an epic quest to reunite the magical creature with his
family at the highest point on Earth. But the trio of friends will have to stay
one-step ahead of Burnish (Eddie Izzard), a wealthy man intent on capturing a
Yeti, and zoologist Dr. Zara (Sarah Paulson) to help Everest get
home.

The Simpsons star Yeardley Smith has insisted the
show isn’t going anywhere, ahead of its 30th season. Previous reports had
suggested the long-running animated series was set to come to an end, with
composer Danny Elfman, who is responsible for the show’s iconic
theme tune, previously suggesting the show “is coming to an end”. Speaking to
News Corp Australia on Saturday, however, Smith, who provides
the voice of Lisa Simpson, shut down the claims, telling the publication: “We
are probably about half way done.”
Rapper Future has been accused of attempting to make one of his paternity
suits go away by paying “hush money” to his alleged baby mama. Cindy
Renae Parker filed papers in a Texas court in October, seeking to
have the Jumpman hitmaker, real name Nayvadius Wilburn,
take a DNA test to prove her baby son Legend is his.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers are reuniting with
guitarist John Frusciante after parting ways with Josh
Klinghoffer. The Californication hitmakers announced the line-up
change in a statement issued online on Sunday. Bidding farewell to Klinghoffer
after 10 years, they declared, “Josh is a beautiful musician who we respect and
love. We are deeply grateful for our time with him, and the countless gifts he
shared with us.” However, fans won’t be too disappointed at the news, as
frontman Anthony Kiedis, bassist Flea, and drummer Chad
Smith revealed Frusciante would be returning to the fold.
Quentin Tarantino has been attached to an R-rated Star
Trek movie for well over a year now, but in a new interview with
Consequence of Sound he casts some doubt on whether or not he’ll move
forward as the project’s director.

The Next Level opened at the top end of industry expectations, leading the
weekend charge with a December studio record opening and getting the box office
off to a strong start for the holiday frame.

though we’re on the fourth season of the series now, Pringles is bringing

Natalie Dormer, the actress and writer best known for playing
Margaery Tyrell on Game of Thrones, has launched a new
production company called Dog Rose Productions.
Netflix has ordered an eight-episode second season of Emmy
nominated comedy series Special, created by and starring Ryan
O’Connell. Based on O’Connell’s part-memoir, part-manifesto I’m Special:
And Other Lies We Tell Ourselves, the semi-autobiographical series centers
on a gay man with mild cerebral palsy, played by O’Connell, who decides to
rewrite his identity as an accident victim and finally go after the life he
wants.
CBS All Access is taking the season of giving very
seriously: The streaming service has reportedly renewed Star Trek: Picard
for Season 2, more than a month before its series premiere.
Chuy Bravo, Chelsea Handler’s sidekick on her E!
talk show Chelsea Lately, has died in Mexico City. He was 63.
According to reports, the Mexican American actor died suddenly after being
hospitalized with stomach pains while visiting family in Mexico.
Frozen 2 has officially passed the $1 billion mark in global ticket
sales, multiple outlets including Forbes report. This makes it the
company’s sixth film just in 2019 to reach $1 billion, after Captain
Marvel, Avengers: Endgame, Aladdin, Toy Story
4 and The Lion King. |
