Captain Marvel
Set in the 1990s, Marvel Studios Captain Marvel (Brie
Larson) is an all new adventure from a previously
unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic
Universe that follows the journey of Carol Danvers as
she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes.
While a galactic war between two alien races reaches
Earth, Danvers finds herself and a small cadre of allies
at the center of the maelstrom.

Instant Family
When Pete (Mark Wahlberg) and Ellie (Rose Byrne)
decide to start a family, they stumble into the world of foster care adoption.
They hope to take in one small child but when they meet three siblings,
including a rebellious 15 year old girl (Isabela Moner), they find
themselves speeding from zero to three kids overnight. Now, Pete and Ellie must
hilariously try to learn the ropes of instant parenthood in the hopes of
becoming a family. Instant Family is inspired by the real events from the life
of writer/director Sean Anders.

The cast of the Captain Jean-Luc Picard series at CBS All
Access has begun to take shape. Santiago Cabrera and
Michelle Hurd have both joins the upcoming Star Trek
streaming show in series regular roles. The exact nature of their roles is being
kept under wraps. As previously reported, the CBS All Access series will see
Patrick Stewart reprise the role he played for seven seasons on
Star Trek: The Next Generation.
Actor Luke Perry, known for roles in Beverly Hills
90210 and Riverdale, has died after suffering a stroke on
Wednesday. He was 52.
Jennifer Lopez and Joanna Gaines are joining forces
to create the ultimate beach-side getaway. JLo is enlisting the help of the
HGTV Fixer Upper star in renovating her $6.6 million dollar
Malibu mansion. Jennifer and Joanna were spotted checking out the beach house
last week, with TV cameras following their every move. It was only last week
when J. Lo revealed how she was able to nab the highly sought after designer
while visiting the Ellen DeGeneres Show.
CMA Music Festival will return to Nashville for its 48th
year in early June, with musical performances and fan oriented experiences
taking place at numerous locations across downtown Nashville. The music
continues through every evening with concerts at Nissan Stadium,
which will feature Luke Bryan, Miranda Lambert and
Dierks Bentley in this year’s lineup.
Keith Flint, the double mohawked lead singer and founding member
of the controversial British rave band The Prodigy, was found dead
in Essex, England, today, his death apparently by suicide. He was 49.
Director Jordan Vogt-Roberts says “the ball’s in Oscar’s
court” in regards to Oscar Isaac portraying Solid Snake in the
upcoming Metal Gear Solid film. Isaac, best known for
portraying Poe Dameron in Star Wars, expressed his interest in
playing Solid Snake in the upcoming Metal Gear Solid movie during an interview
with IGN for Netflix’s Triple Frontier.
Green Book can thank the Academy for its notable bump in ticket
sales. After taking home the Oscar for best picture, the road-trip drama
about a friendship between a bigoted bouncer and a famed black musician
generated $4.7 million at the North American box office.
Jared Harris, perhaps best known for roles in AMC’s Mad
Men and Netflix’s The Crown, has signed on for the
Daniel Espinosa directed the Spider-Man Universe spinoff,
Morbius, at Sony Pictures. Jared Leto is
attached to take on the role of Dr. Michael Morbius, the renowned biochemist
created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gil Kane.
The famous ranch at the center of Leaving Neverland is for sale,
and the property’s current owner, and decision to sell it now, only add to the
strangeness surrounding Michael Jackson’s longtime home.
After looking after three kids as The Nanny, Fran
Drescher is now the one in need of taking care of: The actress will co-star
