Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness
Netflix's latest true crime docuseries, dives
into the wild world of big cat owners and enthusiasts in
an exploration of one man's path from attention seeking
zoo owner to convicted criminal. The series focuses on
the little known but deeply interconnected society of
big cat conservationists and collectors in America,
exploring the private zoos and sanctuaries they've set
up for these unusual and deadly pets. The major conflict
and emphasis of the series revolves around the
contentious hatred between Joe Exotic, the
flamboyant owner of the Greater Wynnewood
Exotic Animal Park, and Carole
Baskin, owner of Big Cat Rescue.
Baskin makes it her personal mission to end private big
cat ownership in general and Exotic's cobbled together,
private Oklahoma zoo in particular.

Little Women
In the late 1860's, the United States is just recovering from the bloody Civil
War. Yet, life goes on in New England, where the four March sisters are growing
up and discovering who they truly are. The narrative bounces between their times
as small children and when they grow up and begin to leave their homes, breaking
free from the shackles of their families and coming into their own identities.
The four face heartbreak, sadness, love, and joy together in a world that's
rapidly changing around them. They have to help each other change with it, or
risk being left behind.
The Buzz...
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom’s first child together is a
daughter. The singer and fiance Orlando shared the happy news on Instagram,
posting a snap from what appeared to be their gender reveal. In the shot, the
Carnival Row star shows off a massive grin, while his face is covered with what
appears to be light pink shaving cream. “It’s a girl,” Katy captioned the shot,
along with two pink heart emojis.
The social distancing life is "unreal" for Chrissy Teigen and
John Legend. On Monday, the longtime couple joined Ellen
DeGeneres for her first at-home episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show,
where they opened up about who is faring the best while staying at home. And
from the sound of it, Chrissy appeared to be enjoying it more than John. "John
would love to be busier," Chrissy said, who told Ellen that it's been a "dream"
for her.
Shirley Douglas, who is best known for her work as an actress as
much as she is known for her activism and advocacy, has died after complications
with pneumonia. She was 86. Douglas’s son, actor Kiefer Sutherland,
took to Twitter to announce the unfortunate news.
John Finlay has his sights set on a couple of A-list actors to
portray him in an eventual biopic. The real life subject featured in Netflix‘s
popular docuseries Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness tells
People that he’d want Channing Tatum to play him in a scripted
adaptation of his life story.
Peter Weber is living in a Full House. The
Bachelor star took to Instagram on Sunday and shared a video of
himself social distancing with Kelley Flanagan and Dustin
Kendrick in Chicago amid the global coronavirus pandemic. The clip showed
the reality stars listening to the Full House theme song and giving the sitcom's
classic intro their own special twist.
The Walking Dead "ended" season 10 with a look at what's to come
when the season's true finale airs sometime in 2020 and that includes Lauren
Cohan's return to the series as Maggie. While filmed months ago, AMC
delayed the release of the true season 10 finale after production was shut down
due to the spread of the coronavirus.
Tiffani Thiessen is making the most of self isolation, and she’s
already on her way to cultivating a more self sufficient life for her family
with a massive home garden. The actress and mother of two joined ET's
Katie Krause via video chat from her home, and opened up about how she’s
been keeping busy while staying at home.
Jeff Lowe, one of the stars of the Netflix documentary
series Tiger King, said that Netflix is planning to release a new episode
of the show starting next week. Lowe, who owns the zoo, sent a video message to
Los Angeles Dodgers player Justin Turner
following an episode of a podcast hosted by Turner’s wife Kourtney. “Netflix is
adding one more episode. It will be on next week. They’re filming here
tomorrow,” Lowe said in the video. “Take care, stay safe, and put your mask on.”
Netflix did not immediately respond to a request for comment. |
