Newcomer Katherine Langford plays the role of Hannah, a young woman who takes her own life. Two weeks after her tragic death, a classmate named Clay finds a mysterious box on his porch. Inside the box are recordings made by Hannah, on whom Clay had a crush, in which she explains the 13 reasons why she chose to commit suicide. If Clay decides to listen to the recordings, he will find out if and how he made the list. This intricate and heart wrenching tale is told through Clay and Hannah's dual narratives.

LEGO DC Shazam: Magic And Monsters
When the boy hero Shazam is offered to join the Justice League he is reluctant about it, but when his rivals the Monster Society put the League in peril he's the only one who can save them. After helping them out of a tight spot, the members of the Justice League invite up and coming superhero Shazam to join them. Afraid they will reject him once they learn he is really 10 year old Billy Baston, he refuses their offer. But when Mr. Mind and the Monster Society of Evil capture Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League, Shazam must learn to trust others in order to save them. While fighting off the evil Mr. Mind and Black Adam, Billy learns that he must trust others, and that nothing creates trust like helping those in need.

Rapper/actor Ice Cube is offering to cover the cost of damages and stolen goods looted from a Florida superstore after a Black Lives Matter protest, as long as no arrests are made. The Ride Along star is willing to pay $100,000 to bosses at the Walmart location in Tampa after surveillance video footage showed crowds of people running through the shop and leaving without paying for their items.

Cardi B went through “hours of pain” to have her massive 10 year old peacock tattoo revamped. The Bodak Yellow rapper took to Instagram to show off her updated ink, revealing the latest intricate details tattoo artist Jamie Schene added onto to the design. “So after 10 years I gave my peacock tattoo a makeover,” Cardi stated. Cardi continued to show off her ink as she posed for a full-body snap centred on her thigh design, showing her crouched near a glass window with her hip facing the camera.

Will Smith is set to team with director Antoine Fuqua for a historical drama inspired by the horrifying image of a tortured slave’s back. Emancipation will feature Smith as a runaway slave named Peter, who evaded hunters and the dangerous swamps of Louisiana to reach freedom in the 1860s. Written by Willam N. Collage, the story is based on photos taken of Peter’s back during a medical examination, which revealed shocking scars from injuries caused by his brutal owners.

Cineplex has announced its plans to reopen cinemas across Canada starting with six theatres in Alberta on June 26. More locations and theatres will follow suit on July 3.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge is reportedly in talks to work on a female led James Bond spin-off series. Sources told Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper movie bosses have approached the Killing Eve star to pen a franchise documenting how the daughter of 007 becomes an agent herself. The news follows Waller-Bridge’s work on the script for upcoming Bond film No Time To Die, star Daniel Craig’s last outing as 007, in which the agent is reportedly a dad.

Warner Bros. is launching its own Comic-Con alternative this summer with DC Fandome, a free virtual fan experience drawing on the company’s library of DC Comics titles. The event will begin on August 22 at 10 a.m. Pt, and will be accessible around the world for 24 hours at DCFanDome.com.

Gwen Stefani is set to return as a coach on season 19 of The Voice, reuniting her with Blake Shelton, Kelly Clarkson and John Legend in the red chairs when the NBC singing competition show returns sometime this fall. Stefani takes over the spot being vacated by Nick Jonas.

The Bold and the Beautiful
will become the first U.S. television series to return to production following the coronavirus pandemic. The CBS soap returns to its Television City soundstage on Wednesday. It is currently in preproduction. Last month, the series was renewed for two more seasons, which will take it through Season 35 and 2022. The hope is for new original episodes to begin airing in early-to-mid July, though no airdate has been set yet.
