5 Years Apart
Two brothers who have not seen each other in years find themselves at their family vacation home on the same day: their birthday. Born 5 years apart on the same day, these two have vastly different expectations for their birthdays that get mixed up and twisted by this unexpected encounter. Family struggles and deep grudges produce a much different birthday celebration than either of them expected, and finding love is suddenly much more difficult for the younger brother when he accidentally decides to pursue the younger sister of his older brother's wife. Michael Vlamis and Scott Michael Foster really shine. Such funny light hearted moments, yet it gets pretty deep with some very relatable struggles that all families go through.

The Buzz...

Animal Kingdom alum Scott Speedman has been tapped for a major recurring role on the upcoming third season of the Netflix series You, headlined by Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti. Speedman will play Matthew, a successful CEO, husband, and uncommunicative father. He’s reserved, at times mysterious, and has a tendency to be withdrawn, all of which masks a deep well of emotion underneath.

Jessie J and Channing Tatum's relationship can best be described as complicated. Over the years, the singer and actor have broken up and reconciled more times than one can count. And with the ongoing coronavirus pandemic posing a physical challenge, what with border closures and all, keeping tabs on their relationship status has been harder than usual. But, according to Jessie's latest Instagram post, she's back on the market for the time being.

The classic 1977 action comedy Smokey and the Bandit is getting the TV treatment. UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group, and Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door are teaming to develop a series based on the Burt Reynolds movie. The series is being written by Pineapple Express director David Gordon Green and regular collaborator Brian Sides. MacFarlane and Green are both executive producing.

Hasbro’s Power Rangers reboot is getting both the film and TV treatment. First put in development in December, the upcoming reboot of the ’90s-era TV show will now span both big and small screens. Jonathan Entwistle, who co-created Netflix’s The End of the F—ing World, will shepherd the entire franchise for Hasbro and Entertainment One, the studio it acquired earlier last year.

The enchanting world of Willow, created by George Lucas, is officially coming to the small screen. Disney Plus has confirmed a sequel series taking place years after the events of the original Ron Howard directed pic is heading into production next year. Howard is returning to the project as executive producer alongside original star Warwick Davis, who will once again play the titular hero Willow Ufgood.

Ghostbusters: Afterlife, a sequel to the blockbuster comedy, will hit theaters next summer. The movie is now expected to debut on June 11, 2021, exactly 37 years after the original.

Jared Leto, who starred as The Joker in 2016’s Suicide Squad, will return to play the clown prince of crime in Zack Snyder’s cut of Justice League. The so-called “Snyder Cut” of Justice League will be a 4 hour long, episodic presentation on HBO Max, created with a budget of around $70 million.

The Cyrus family can't stop and won't stop turning heads at award shows. During the 2020 CMT Music Awards on Wednesday, Oct. 21, pop culture fans were treated to a special performance of Jimmie Allen and Noah Cyrus' hit song This Is Us. While performing at the Bicentennial Capital Mall State Park in Nashville, Noah sported a cowboy hat, knee high sparkling boots and a nude body suit that showcased a sparkling bikini top and bottom.

Legally Blonde 3 is slated to hit theaters in May 2022 after originally being scheduled for a February 2020 release.

The Fast and Furious franchise will come to a conclusion after the 10th and 11th films. Justin Lin, who directed the third, fourth, fifth, sixth, and ninth Fast and Furious films, will return to direct the final two installments and the franchise to the finish line after over two decades in theaters.
