The Nest
Rory (Jude Law), an ambitious
entrepreneur and former commodities broker, persuades
his American wife, Allison (Carrie Coon),
and their children to leave the comforts of suburban
America and return to his native England during the
1980s. Sensing opportunity, Rory rejoins his former firm
and leases a centuries-old country manor, with grounds
for Allison's horses and plans to build a stable. Soon
the promise of a lucrative new beginning starts to
unravel, the couple have to face the unwelcome truths
lying beneath the surface of their marriage.

Outlander (Starz)
Outlander takes audiences along for the adventure of
Claire Randall, a nurse in the process of rekindling her
marriage to her husband Frank after the couple spent
five years apart during World War II. As the two are
enjoying a trip to Scotland, where Frank is conducting
research about his family roots, an unexpected chain of
events draws Claire back to the year 1743. While there
she meets and is forced to marry Jamie Fraser, a bold
and handsome Scottish Warrior. This turn of events
leaves Claire torn between two men, two time periods and
two very different lives.

Singer and mental health advocate Demi Lovato has teamed up with
DJ Marshmello to release a new single marking World
Suicide Prevention Day. OK Not to Be OK was released on
Thursday and Marshmello reveals the collaboration has been “in the works” for
years.
Drew Barrymore mixed up Cameron Diaz’s cellphone
number and sent her invitation to appear on her new talk show to a young boy,
while she was getting dressed. The two friends and Charlie’s Angels
castmate Lucy Liu reunited for The Drew Barrymore
Show on Monday, and Diaz revealed she never initially got the video
invite, shot as Drew was getting ready for the day, because her pal sent it to
someone else by mistake.
Lady Gaga is reportedly circling a new X-Men character for
an upcoming Marvel blockbuster. The pop superstar, who showed off her
acting skills in A Star is Born, is in talks to play Emma Frost,
aka the White Queen. If she signs on, Gaga might not be the only singer suiting
up for the new X-Men movie. Janelle Monae recently expressed
interest in playing Storm, a mutant character previously portrayed by
Halle Berry.
Bindi Irwin has shared news of how her pregnancy is progressing
and revealed her unborn baby is now “the size of a hummingbird.” The 22 year old
conservationist daughter of late Australian naturalist Steve Irwin
posted a photo of herself on Saturday alongside husband Chandler
Powell, 23, on Instagram.
Kid Rock will headline a rally for U.S. leader Donald
Trump in his home state of Michigan on Monday. The star will hit the stage
at the event to promote the President’s re-election campaign at Bumpers
Landing Boat Club. The Cowboy hitmaker is an avid
Trump supporter and met with the Commander in Chief at the White House in 2018,
when he signed the Orrin G. Hatch-Bob Goodlatte Music Modernization Act.
Will Smith teamed up with his pal Jazzy Jeff to
launch the mansion from his much loved TV show The Fresh Prince
Of Bel Air on Airbnb. Smith, who starred in the 90s
sitcom about a teenager from a rough neighbourhood who is sent to live with his
rich relatives, Uncle Phil and Aunt Vivian, will return with the cast in a
one-off HBO Max special to mark its 30th anniversary. And, ahead
of the special, the owners of the iconic TV home have listed it on Airbnb,
making one wing of the mansion available to stay in for five nights at a bargain
$30 a night in October.
Netflix, amid a backlash over the sexualized portrayal of children in
recently released drama Cuties, is encouraging critics to watch the
movie, which it says makes a statement about pressures young girls face in
conforming to societal role models of female sexuality.
