Cobra Kai
When Cobra Kai first premiered to YouTube in 2018, no one expected the throwback martial arts drama to have an impact. But, surprisingly, it did. Just three years after YouTube Red (now YouTube Premium) launched, providing a slate of original scripted programming to compete with big-time streamers like Netflix and Hulu, the platform hit it big with its nostalgic return to the world of The Karate Kid. Now, the first two seasons of Cobra Kai are hopping over to Netflix on August 28, and the streamer is producing a third season to hit the platform sometime in 2021. Cobra Kai scored an impressive 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes when it first premiered, which is an accomplishment unto itself, let alone for a video platform widely known for its massive library of user generated content.

Rick And Morty Season 4
Dark, zany, quick witted dialogue within consistently original plot lines drives this masterfully creative sci-fi/ comedy to previously unscaled heights. Rick is an old, mad scientist who lives with his daughter's family. He moves in and instantly bonds with his teenage grandson. Morty is a shy boy who is often embarrassed and filled with panic over ordinary situations. Rick will often show up at Morty's school and drag the boy off for a crazy, zany adventure. In their very first escapade, Rick brings Morty to another dimension where they must bring back a seed from a very special tree. Another adventure brings Morty and Rick into an Inception themed dream world where they try to influence Morty's teach into giving him a good grade.

The Buzz...

Dr. Dre’s estranged wife has dropped a bombshell lawsuit against the rap mogul, claiming she co-owns the trademark to his name and his classic album The Chronic. Nicole Brown also alleges in new court papers that her estranged husband has transferred the trademarks to a holding company in a bid to deprive her of a big divorce settlement.

Miley Cyrus knows how to make a fashion statement. The Midnight Sky singer stopped her 115 million followers in their tracks after she posted a jaw dropping outfit on Instagram. "@iheartradio tomorrow more info on stories," the 27 year old star captioned her post, alongside a series of snapshots from photographer Vijat Mohindra. For her photo shoot, Miley sizzled in a sheer black catsuit by designer Thierry Mugler. The pop star accessorized the head turning bodysuit with layers of chunky jewelry pieces, like chain bracelets, a necklace with geometric shaped diamonds and rings.

Clare Crawley is about to take The Bachelorette into uncharted territory. ABC dropped a drama filled trailer this week for the 16th season of the dating series, in which host Chris Harrison tells Crawley, “Congratulations, you’ve just blown up The Bachelorette.”

Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem, And Madness star Carole Baskin has landed a new reality show in which she’ll shine a light on animal abusers. The big cat conservationist, who is currently appearing on U.S. competition show Dancing With the Stars, will front the show, which chronicles the efforts of organization bosses fighting animal exploitation in America.

Glee star Nene Leakes is handing in her Real Housewives key after 10 seasons on the franchise’s hit Atlanta, Georgia show. The series favorite has announced she will not be returning to the show for its upcoming 13th season.

Dwayne Johnson showed off his strength at home on Friday by ripping the electric gate off his wall during a power cut. A storm knocked the power out at his estate, forcing the former wrestler to take drastic action, so he could get to work on the set of blockbuster Black Adam on time.

Academy Of Country Music Awards bosses are standing by the historic Entertainer of the Year Award tie at the Grand Ole Opry House in Nashville, Tennessee, insisting both performers scored exactly the same votes. Carrie Underwood and Thomas Rhett became the first ever dual winners of the coveted prize in the ACM Awards’ 55 year history and both took to the stage to graciously accept the trophy and honor each other.

Orphan Black star Tatiana Maslany has been cast as She-Hulk in director Kat Coiro’s new Marvel series, according to new reports. She-Hulk, aka Jennifer Walters, was comic book legend Stan Lee’s last co-creation. She’s the cousin of Bruce Banner, aka The Hulk, who becomes all-powerful following an emergency blood transfusion from her relative.

RuPaul just made herstory. During the 2020 Creative Arts Emmys on Saturday, Sept. 18, the RuPaul's Drag Race star won the award for Outstanding Host for a Reality or Competition Program for the fifth year in a row. Along with the major accomplishment, the legendary drag queen actually broke the record for the most wins in the category's 13 year history.

HBO Max will be getting the third season of the animated Harley Quinn series. The show, which premiered on DC Universe, is moving to HBO Max as part of WarnerMedia’s plan to relaunch the former platform as a hub for digital comic books rather than original television.

Roku and NBCUniversal have reached a deal bringing Peacock, NBCU’s recently-launched streaming service, to Roku, while also keeping a number of other NBC apps on the platform. Peacock will be available on Roku within the next few weeks.
