legend. Broadway director Tommy has mounted a solid
crowdpleaser, written by Tracey Scott
Wilson, that will satisfy generations of Franklin fans.
And ageless 39 year old singer actress Hudson, who plays
Franklin from her teens through her acclaimed 1972
gospel concert Amazing Grace, is on her
way to a second Oscar nomination.

Heist
A criminal mastermind who goes by "The Professor" has a
plan to pull off the biggest heist in recorded history,
to print billions of euros in the Royal Mint of Spain.
To help him carry out the ambitious plan, he recruits
eight people with certain abilities and who have nothing
to lose. The group of thieves take hostages to aid in
their negotiations with the authorities, who strategize
to come up with a way to capture The Professor. As more
time elapses, the robbers prepare for a showdown with
the police.

A sequel to the hit movie Bohemian Rhapsody is definitely in the
works, according to Brian May. The news has thrilled Queen
fans desperate for a follow up to the 2018 hit biopic, which won four Oscars
in 2019, including Best Picture and Best Actor for Rami Malek, who
played late frontman Freddie Mercury.
Night Court star Markie Post has died at the age of
70, after a nearly four year cancer battle. She’s best known for playing public
defender Christine Sullivan on the U.S. sitcom Night Court from
1985 to 1992, and for Lee Majors series The Fall
Guy, which ran from 1982 to1985. More recently, she had a recurring role as
the mother of Sarah Chalke’s character on American TV comedy Scrubs, and
also appeared as mum to Sophia Bush on Chicago P.D.
Hulu is adding to its roster of distinct comedy voices. The Disney
backed platform, home to awards players Ramy and Pen15, has handed out a series
order for Chris Estrada comedy This Fool (formerly
known as Punk Ass Bitch).
Countess Gabriele Von Blerkom doesn’t arrive in Schmigadoon! until
Episode 5, but portrayer Jane Krakowski had been involved with the
Apple TV+ comedy since its inception. “I was lucky enough to be a
part of the whole reading process… as the show was still being written and
molded and created,” the 30 Rock vet tells.
Good Morning America weekend anchor Dan Harris
is leaving ABC News. Harris, who spent the past two decades serving in
multiple roles at the network, expects to make his exit in two months, he
announced on Sunday’s broadcast.
Warner Bros. Pictures is considering legal action against
Line of Duty showrunner Jed Mercurio over his
new graphic novel Sleeper. Warner Bros., via their
subsidiary DC Comics, own the rights to another graphic novel
called Sleeper, written by Ed Brubaker and illustrated by Sean
Phillips. It was released in 2003 and has been considered for screen
adaptation numerous times, most recently with Ben Affleck attached
to direct.
The Suicide Squad received unusually good reviews for a
comic-book adaptation, plenty of social media attention, and had little to no
competition on a prime summer weekend. Even so, it fell short of its
conservative $30 million projection to gross $26,550,000 in 4,002 North American
theaters.
STXfilms, which scored big box-office successes with the likes of
Hustlers and Bad Moms, recently struck a streaming deal with
Tubi, Fox Entertainment’s free, ad-supported service.
However, the studio has $150 million in debt, so it is looking for other ways to
leverage its film library.
Bri Springs isn't letting this Bachelor Nation
outing put a thorn in her actual relationship. The former Bachelor contestant,
who competed on Matt James' season of the ABC dating series, quickly
cleared the air after photos surfaced online of her spending time with
Bachelorette star Greg Grippo, who recently shocked fans after
he abruptly exited Katie Thurston's season.
Simone Biles closed out the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with a
fabulous new hairdo. The four-time Olympic gold medalist, who is regarded as one
of the greatest gymnasts of all time, recently debuted a major transformation,
after returning home from the Olympic Games in Japan, where she scored two
medals.
Ant Anstead and Renée Zellweger just took a major
step in their relationship after they were spotted enjoying a date night at
their first public event together.
