						The Marksman
						Jim (Liam Neeson) is a former Marine who 
						lives a solitary life as a rancher along the 
						Arizona-Mexican border. But his peaceful existence soon 
						comes crashing down when he tries to protect a boy on 
						the run from members of a vicious cartel. This movie 
						explores the many sides of the Mexican American border 
						issues. BP, drug cartels, Americans living near the 
						border and the innocent people on both sides of the 
						illegal alien issue. There is no black and white, just a 
						lot of grays. Criminals never have the right to do what 
						they do, but at the same time, some who have are 
						crossing the border are trying for a better life.

						Palmer (Apple TV+)
						After 12 years in prison, former high school football 
						star Eddie Palmer (Justin Timberlake) 
						returns home to put his life back together and forms an 
						unlikely bond with Sam, an outcast boy from a troubled 
						home. But Eddie's past threatens to ruin his new life 
						and family. Eddie Palmer (played by Timberlake) has just 
						gotten out of jail for armed robbery and almost beating 
						his intended mark to death when caught. His first stop 
						is his grandmother Vivian’s (June Squibb) 
						house in rural Louisiana, and then to find a job to keep 
						his parole officer off his back. He just barely 
						qualifies to work as a janitor at the local elementary 
						school, where he notices a familiar face. Sam (Ryder
						Allen) is the son of the fast-living Shelly (Juno
						Temple), who rents out Vivian’s yard for her 
						trailer, so they’re Palmer’s neighbors and frequently 
						more than that. Forces conspire to ensure that Palmer is 
						the only adult left to look after Sam. And though he 
						initially resents the assignment, eventually he grows to 
						love the boy,

						Batman: Soul of the Dragon
						It is the 1970s and Batman teams with some unlikely 
						people. The world's greatest detective discovers that 
						there is a common link between him, Richard Dragon, Lady 
						Shiva, and Bronze Tiger. They each were trained by the 
						same master of the martial arts, who just so happens to 
						have been missing for many years under very mysterious 
						circumstances. They track down the mystery to the 
						origins of a mysterious ancient relic that may just 
						claim all of their lives.

Misha Green is making the jump to feature directing with the next
Tomb Raider film. The Lovecraft Country creator will 
write and direct the project for MGM. In addition to creating Lovecraft 
Country, the HBO hit that she executive produced with J.J. Abrams 
and Jordan Peele, Green is known for WGN’s Underground. She 
also worked on FX’s Sons of Anarchy and penned and is producing action 
film The Mother for Netflix. The next Tomb Raider movie 
will once again star Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft, 
the video game adventurer who debuted in 1996 on the Sony PlayStation.
There will be no mulligan for Tiger Woods’ former mistress and her 
deteriorating finances. Rachel Uchitel filed for bankruptcy in 
July. The 45 year old one time promoter rose to fame when it was revealed she 
was the cheating PGA star’s main squeeze. But the relationship went south 
when Woods’ then wife, Elin Nordegren, found naughty messages 
between the two. The Swedish beauty chased Woods from their Florida mansion 
wielding a golf club. The golfer crashed his Cadillac Escalade 
into a tree.
In another sluggish session at the domestic box office, Liam Neeson 
once again proved to be Mr. Reliable by holding onto the top spot for the second 
straight weekend with his latest outing, The Marksman. The 
PG-13-rated border thriller from indie studio Open Road Films 
put $2 million into its crosshairs, edging out a soft field still reeling from 
the Covid-19 pandemic.
AMC Theatres, the world’s largest cinema chain, has raised $917 
million in new equity and debt capital. “This increased liquidity should allow 
the company to make it through this dark coronavirus impacted winter,” the 
company said, adding that its “financial runway has been extended deep into 
2021.”
Paramount Pictures has become the latest studio to reschedule 
their upcoming slate of theatrical releases in 2021 by delaying John 
Krasinski’s A Quiet Place Part II by five months. A Quiet Place Part 
II, the highly-anticipated sequel to the surprise 2018 horror hit A Quiet Place, 
will now release on September 17, 2021, instead of its intended April 2021.
No Time to Die has set off a domino effect of release date reshuffles 
from Sony and Universal. Following yesterday’s delay of the 
Bond flick, the release dates for Edgar Wright’s Last Night 
in Soho, the Bob Odenkirk starring Nobody, 
Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the Tom Holland starring 
Uncharted, and Jared Leto’s Morbius have all been 
reshuffled.
The riverboat ride, first seen in California’s Disneyland, is to be 
overhauled ‘to reflect and value diversity’ Disney is to overhaul its Jungle 
Cruise theme park attraction to remove what it describes as “negative depictions 
of native peoples” and to “reflect and value the diversity of the world around 
us”.
Adele and her estranged husband, Simon Konecki, have 
reportedly reached a divorce settlement. The Hello hitmaker and the 
charity boss, who are parents to eight year old son Angelo, filed a judgment 
packet almost two years since they split.
Britain’s Glastonbury Festival, the largest greenfield music 
festival in the world, has been cancelled for a second year running because of 
the COVID-19 pandemic.
Drake has pushed back the release of his new album to allow himself more 
time to recover from knee surgery. The Laugh Now Cry 
Later hitmaker underwent the operation to repair a torn anterior cruciate 
ligament (ACL) at the end of October, and he showed off video of himself walking 
unaided again a week before Christmas, but it appears his comeback has stalled.
Netflix’s The Witcher prequel series Blood Origin 
has cast Jodie Turner-Smith as its lead. The Witcher: Blood 
Origin is a six-part, live action limited series that will serve as a prequel to 
Netflix’s series starring Henry Cavill.
The WWE has signed an agreement with Peacock that will bring 
exclusive U.S. rights to the WWE Network to NBCUniversal’s streaming 
service starting March 18. Terms for the multi-year deal were not disclosed, but 
a person familiar with the arrangement pegged it at about $1 billion.
