The Last Blockbuster (Netflix)
The manager of the last Blockbuster video store
struggles to keep the store open. A stream of
celebrities, some of which have worked at the iconic
chain, put in there thoughts on what used to be the king
of movie distribution until streaming took over. It's
really more of a hit of nostalgia than a particularly
plot driven documentary. Don't expect any crazy twists
or turns. But it's a very enjoyable way to spend 90
minutes. If you grew during a time when video stores
were huge, you'll love this movie. And if you are a
younger person who never experienced video rental
stores, you might find it equally interesting to think
this is something that people did once upon a time, and
loved it.
