Jason Momoa may be heading to the video game world of Minecraft
for Warner Bros. The Aquaman and Dune star is in
talks to join a live-action movie based on the massively popular Minecraft video
game, which is the best selling game of all time with more than 238 million
copies sold since its release in 2011.
Jennifer Garner, who turned 50 on Sunday, got a nice surprise
ahead of her big day when crooner Donny Osmond showed up to help
toast her big day on Friday. In a clip shared to her Instagram page,
Garner is seen watching a video of Osmond, 64, singing to her to help mark the
special occasion. The Puppy Love singer then surprises her from
behind with a cake that read, “13 going on 50,” a reference to her beloved film,
13 Going on 30.
Tom Hanks dusted off an old friend when he threw out the first
pitch at a recent Cleveland Guardians game. The two time Oscar
winner, 65, was joined by Wilson, the volleyball, his co-star from the
2000 film Cast Away, when he took to the mound at Progressive
Field for the Guardians’ home opener.
Aaron Paul’s cameo in Weird: The Al Yankovic Story had to
be cancelled after he caught COVID-19. The Breaking Bad star
played the parody legend in comedy website Funny or Die’s fake movie
trailer helmed by Eric Appel, and the latter is now the director
of the upcoming biopic starring Daniel Radcliffe in the titular
role.
Josh Brolin lost out on the role of Batman to Ben
Affleck. The 54 year old actor revealed he had initially been in discussions
to play the Caped Crusader for director Zack Snyder before the
filmmaker ultimately chose Affleck for the role in 2016’s Batman v Superman:
Dawn of Justice.
Drew Barrymore's phoned home to bring her E.T. mother to
The Drew Barrymore Show. Dee Wallace joined Drew on her talk
show on April 18 to take a walk down memory lane and recall their favorite
moments working together on E.T. in celebration of the film's 40th anniversary
on April 21.
One of the men who aided in supplying Mac Miller with fentanyl-laced
pills just received his sentence. Ryan Reavis was sentenced to 131 months. just
shy of 11 years, for his involvement in Miller's death.
The popular animated comedy series Big Mouth and its spinoff
Human Resources have been renewed at Netflix for a seventh and
second season, respectively. Creators Nick Kroll, Andrew
Goldberg, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett made
the announcement during the shows’ FYC Emmy panel at NeueHouse Hollywood
in Los Angeles.
The Dark Secrets of Playboy, from Around the
Way Publishing, will tell the story of Stefan Tetenbaum’s
experiences as Hefner’s butler in the late ’70s and early ’80s. The
memoir is now available digitally on Amazon and Kindle.
Andrew McCarthy needs to be fitted for a white coat, stat. The
Brat Pack actor has joined The Resident‘s current
fifth season in a recurring role, with the potential to become a series regular
if the drama is picked up for Season 6.
