The Whale
An obese and reclusive English teacher (Brendan Frasier) tries to
reconnect with his estranged teenage daughter for one last chance at redemption.
Brendan Fraser gives a career-defining performance in this arrestingly intimate
drama from director Darren Aronofsky. The Whale invites us to
identify with a man in a precarious state of isolation that has been exacerbated
by a potentially lethal mix of technology and our culture of body shaming.

While attending Nevermore Academy, Wednesday Addams
attempts to master her emerging psychic ability, thwart
a killing spree and solve the mystery that embroiled her
parents 25 years ago. The Addams Family is back, but
this series from visionary Tim Burton,
features the daughter, Wednesday (played by Jenna
Ortega) as she is shipped to a boarding school
for oddballs. With the help of the disembodied hand
called Thing, and maybe even Uncle Fester, she has to,
of course, solve a mystery.

A Christmas Story Christmas (HBO Max)
Ralphie returns to give his kids a magical Christmas
like the one he had as a child. Long awaited follow up
to holiday classic A Christmas Story starring Peter
Billingsley. Ralphie (played by an adult Peter
Billingsley) finally returns; this time, he's going home
to try and show his kids the kind of Christmas he had as
a child in the 1950s. Apparently, he doesn’t remember
that encounter with Scut Farkus.

Bob McGrath, a member of the original cast of Sesame
Street and who was on the beloved children’s show for 47 seasons, has died
at the age of 90, according to a Facebook post from his family.
Jennifer Lopez is celebrating the yuletide season in style. Lopez
took to Instagram to share an array of holiday-themed selfies, in which
she’s outfitted head to toe in red. Wearing a red belt atop a red blazer and
loose-fitting trouser, JLo accented the look with oversized red sunglasses and a
quilted leather Valentino bag, which had been monogramed with “JLo” in
large white letters.
Justin Bieber is ready to satiate fans’ thirst in a sustainable,
environmentally friendly way. Last week, Bieber and business partner Micah
Cravalho visited Quatar in the midst of the FIFA World
Cup festivities, where they introduced their new water technology company,
Generosity.
Angela Rummans and Tyler Crispen, who met when they
were housemates in the 2018 season of Big Brother, have reportedly
called it quits on their four year relationship.
Viewers of The Daily Show will no doubt be saddened when
Trevor Noah exits the show next month after seven years as host.
However, a recent announcement from Comedy Central should dull
fans’ pain a bit, revealing that while the selection process for a new host
takes place the show will feature an array of rotating guest hosts.
BTS‘ music label has issued a message to fans ahead of Jin’s army
enlistment. The 30 year old member of the world-famous South Korean boy band
will “fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army,”
Big Hit Music said in a statement. “Please note that we will
not be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment.”
Cheryl Burke is ready to turn the page on a new chapter in her
life, following her recent split from Matthew Lawrence and her
exit from Dancing With the Stars after 26 seasons.
Elvis, which earlier this week dominated the craft prizes of Australia’s
Aacta Awards, on Wednesday added four more. These included best
film and best director for Baz Luhrmann.
Drew Barrymore may be reuniting with Cameron Diaz
onscreen. The daytime talk show host told her longtime friend and co-star
Adam Sandler that she has been discussing a Planes, Trains, and
Automobiles remake with Diaz.
