Halloween Ends
Four years after her last encounter with masked killer Michael Myers, Laurie Strode (Jamie Lee Curtis) is living with her granddaughter and trying to finish her memoir. Myers hasn't been seen since, and Laurie finally decides to liberate herself from rage and fear and embrace life. However, when a young man stands accused of murdering a boy that he was babysitting, it ignites a cascade of violence and terror that forces Laurie to confront the evil she can't control.

Two young women accidentally bring back the Sanderson Sisters to modern-day Salem and must figure out how to stop the child-hungry witches from wreaking havoc on the world. The world may have been free of Winifred, Mary, and Sarah and the fear they invoked in us all, but what happens when you mess with magic? It messes back. Bette Midler is largely responsible for Hocus Pocus 2 becoming a reality. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Bette stated that when she started to realize how popular the original film had become, she "was surprised" and "started making calls."

In the year 2022, the vampire Louis de Pointe du Lac lives in Dubai and seeks to tell the story of his life or afterlife to renowned journalist Daniel Molloy. Beginning in early 20th-century New Orleans, Louis' story follows his relationship with the vampire Lestat du Lioncourt and their formed family, including teen fledgling Claudia. Together, the vampire family endures immortality in New Orleans and beyond. As the interview continues in Dubai, Molloy discovers the truths beneath Louis' story.

The life of John Candy is getting the documentary treatment courtesy of Ryan Reynolds and Colin Hanks. “With John Candy trending, I’ll just say I love him,” Reynolds, 45, wrote in a Twitter post that generated nearly 16,000 likes. “So much so, @maximumeffort is working on a documentary on his life with @colinhanks. Expect tears.”

Actress Angela Lansbury, whose 75-year career encompassed triumphs on the big screen, in musical theater and on television, died at her Los Angeles home, her family announced in a statement obtained by Variety. She was 96, five days shy of her 97th birthday.

Construction of the Italian Renaissance-style estate reportedly took five years; the singer previously listed the home in 2009, asking 45 million at the time. It's now listed for a cool 85 million.

Netflix has taken peak TV to a new peak. In a data point sure to fuel more quantity versus quality debate, Netflix broke its own record for number of original episodes released in a single quarter, with 1,026 in the third quarter of 2022.

ABC is going all-in on The Conners, as the Roseanne spinoff series has been given a 22 episode order for its current fifth season.
