The Equalizer 3
Since giving up his life as a government assassin, Robert McCall (Denzel
Washington) finds solace in serving justice on behalf of the oppressed.
Now living in Southern Italy, he soon discovers his new friends are under the
control of local crime bosses. As events turn deadly, McCall becomes their
protector by taking on the mafia. Brutal and bad as heck. Denzel Washington is
ruthless and efficient. No one else could look as stoic or menacing eating an
apple standing over a dead corpse. Italy was a great choice for shooting
location as it’s just beautiful, the stone & cobble spots mixed with some
haunting visuals of torture & blood soaked relics blends bleakly into fun.

Asteriod City (Peacock)
Following a writer on his world famous fictional play
about a grieving father who travels with his tech
obsessed family to small rural Asteroid City to compete
in a junior stargazing event, only to have his world
view disrupted forever. Wes Anderson's latest whimsical
creation, Asteroid City, is a delightful and
heartwarming coming of age story set in the nostalgic
backdrop of a 1950s summer camp. With his signature
aesthetic and quirky characters, Anderson weaves a
colorful tapestry of childhood adventures, touching
relationships, and laugh out loud humor. The standout of
the film is newcomer Phoenix McKell, who
plays Alice, a plucky and imaginative girl sent to the
camp while her parents are going through a separation.

Ahsoka (Disney+)
After the fall of the Galactic Empire, former Jedi
Knight Ahsoka Tano investigates an emerging threat to a
vulnerable galaxy. The plot has been tight and on point
with an emphasis on action and moving the story forward
but with plenty of character development along the way.
I don’t think viewers need to have watched either rebels
nor mando to understand what’s going on (though I’d
highly recommend both shows) but any fan of rebels will
feel like they’re coming home when they watch Ahsoka.
Ahsoka featuring Rosario Dawson and
Natasha Liu Bordizzo is streaming with
subscription on Disney+.
