Off The Record...Shelby Lynne
 I Am Shelby Lynne
The self-defining work that its title suggests this intense personal recording,
is the result of nearly 32 years of experience and tears, valiantly revealing
Lynn's affinity for '70s R&B. The opening track, Your Lies, roars out of the
gate with a string-heavy blast of classic Phil Spector-style pop. The
occasionally jazzy, and undeniably soulful I Am Shelby Lynne is a slice of pop
sincerity that's almost too good for commercial radio.

 At The Movies...
 Pitch Black
As its title suggests, Pitch Black is about things that go wham-bam in the
dark. Set sometime in the near future, it's a sci-fi joyride geared to have
your adrenaline pumped up high. The movie pours on the gore and there are lots
of grisly moments, though some are so over the top that the squeals quickly
convert to laughter. It also delivers plenty of wisecracks and even some
attempts at morality. Guaranteed to keep you blasted against your seats.

 Collect It...
 Movie Maniacs
 Freddy & Jason Two-Pack
Unlike the single pack line, there's no silly backdrop included with the
figures. Instead, the base is a really complementary albeit disgusting mix of
skull and bones with a namesake tombstone under each character. The background
features images of the two characters from their movies and the Plexiglas case
makes this a very striking collector's item, especially for those who missed out
on getting the figures during their initial run, both are which now incredibly
hard to find.
