Looney Tunes: Back in Action

The film begins on a back lot of Warner Brothers with Daffy arguing with WB executives for an increased role in Bugs' new movie. His pleas fall on deaf and dumb ears which insist that Kate, the VP in charge of comedy fire the duck. Daffy and DJ, the security guard chosen to escort him off the lot soon find themselves in the middle of an adventure as DJ's famous father turns out to be a spy pretending to be an actor pretending to be a spy. All in all, it's great fun and will especially be enjoyed by movie buffs and by those familiar with the studio's classic cartoon short features of years gone by.

On DVD

Terminator 3: Rise Of The Machines

He's back from the future to protect Resistance leader John Connor and Kate Brewster, who's stunned to learn her destiny is linked with Connor from the machines bent on destroying the duo. An awesome new foe is programmed to terminate them, a state-of-the-art T-X who's smarter and stronger than a T-101. The film puts new spins on the Skynet/Judgment day scenario. With Judgment Day seemingly averted, Connor is no longer the savior of the future, and wanders aimlessly with no purpose in life. But Skynet still exists, and is set to kick-in in a matter of days. The machines of the future send T-X to eliminate not only Connor but his future comrades-in-arms. With the aid of the Terminator and Brewster, the future may still have a chance. There's dazzling effects and thrills, plus a crane and car chase sequence will leave you particularly breathless.

It's a property game that allows players to own many of their greatest hits, their merchandise, and their albums while trading their Gold Records for Platinum Awards. Players roll the black dice, wondering if they’ll be Hired as a roadie to set up the Catman’s drums or if they will win 2nd Place in the Girls of KISS Beauty Contest. All the while, players must try not to get stuck in Sold Out Show, Lose Their Ticket, or Get in Trouble for Disturbing the Peace.

The Buzz...

The Partridge Family, the 1970s family sitcom that spawned a chart-topping pop act, will be revived in a pair of planned series for VH1. The first show is to chronicle the casting of the new show. The second new Partridge show will be like the old Partridge show, except updated.

Looks like Tarzan is a swing and a miss. The WB has shut down production on the freshman drama. Officially, the network says the production is on hiatus, with execs waiting to see how the remaining three episodes perform this month before making a permanent decision on the shows fate.
