At The Movies

Stuck on You
Outrageous comedy and a lot of heart are joined at the hip in Stuck on You, the latest envelope-pushing exercise in hilarity from The Farrelly Brothers. Bob and Walt Tenor are more than just brothers they're conjoined "Siamese" twins, who are winners at everything from flipping burgers at the diner they own, or performing miraculous feats on ice for their local hockey team. They never leave each other's side and wouldn't have it any other way. That is, until Walt decides he wants to follow his dreams of making it as a Hollywood actor, and persuades his reluctant sibling to go along for the ride. Tinseltown may never recover as Bob and Walt find fame, romance and a new perspective on their inseparable bond.

Assassination Tango

Seductive thriller directed by Robert Duvall. Veteran hit man John J. Anderson (Duvall) has just received the toughest assignment of his career: travel to Buenos Aires, take down a corrupt general and be back in the U.S. in less than three days. But when the general delays his return to the city, John has to put his hit on hold, and finds himself prowling the city's intoxicating tango clubs only to be seduced by a sultry dancer (Luciana Pedraza), tempted by the dance and betrayed by a lethal conspiracy.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer Series 5 Ornaments

Moore Creations, Inc. presents their next series of Buffy ornaments. This finely detailed series focuses on everyone's favorite witch, Willow, in three of her incarnations from the series: as her beloved normal smiling self, as the bloodthirsty Vampire Willow, and as the heart-broken, anger-filled incarnation of destructive energy, Dark Willow. These three ornaments come fully painted and ready for display.

The Buzz...

Lizzie McGuire star Hilary Duff is selling out her first string of headlining theater dates as a pop star in less than 30 minutes on the strength of 1.2 million in sales for her debut album, Metamorphosis released in August.

When Linkin Park hits the road next month for a North American tour with P.O.D., Hoobastank and Story Of The Year, singer Mike Shinoda says the act has plenty of surprises in store for loyal fans. "We're playing an all-new set and we've added some songs that people haven't heard us play live before."

Despite Fox's announcement that an Elektra spinoff movie is in the works, along with a Daredevil 2, Ben Affleck has revealed that he has no intentions of reprising the role for a sequel. He went on to say, however, that he would do a cameo in Jennifer Garner's Elektra movie should it be needed.

Sandler Clicks

Adam Sandler has selected his next project. Sandler will produce, as well as star, in Click for Sony

Columbia Pictures. Written by Steve Koren and Mark O'Keefe (Bruce Almighty), the film tells the story of workaholic who finds a universal remote that allows him to rewind or fast-forward to parts of his life. When his remote begins to make the decisions for him, however, complications begin to arise.

Uma Thurman is taking on the lead role in Be Cool, MGM's sequel to Get Shorty. The film stars John Travolta again as former loan shark Chili Palmer, who is quitting the movie producing business in order to work in the music industry. Thurman will play the widow of a record label owner. The movie also stars Danny DeVito and The Rock, with Vince Vaughn in talks to join as well.

David Zucker of the Naked Gun series and Scary Movie 3 revealed fourth movies were possible for either franchise. As for getting people back from Scary Movie 3 for the fourth film, he says, "Sure, I’d like to try and get everyone back. There’s not one person I wouldn’t like to come back for it."

Horror mastermind Clive Barker has selected Tortured Souls to be his next directing project. The movie is based on Barker's own line of action figures. Each figure has its own chapter in a much larger story.

Frances O'Connor and Allison Janney have joined Sam Rockwell and Tom Wilkison in Piccadilly Jim, which will be directed by John McKay. Based on a comic novel by P.G. Wodehouse, the script is adapted by Julian Fellowes and tells the story of an American rogue in London in the 1930s, where he tries to escape his scandalous reputation back home in order to search for the woman of his dreams.

Billy Connolly (Timeline) is joining Brad Silberling's Lemony Snicket: A Series of Unfortunate Events. The film currently has Jim Carrey, Meryl Streep, and Jude Law attached to the project.
Based on the children's book series by Daniel Handler, the film will tell the story of the Baudelaire orphans on a series of adventures and unfortunate turns while mixing it up with the evil Count Olaf.

Dimension Films and producer Mike Fleiss have acquired the film rights to Hyde, a comic book by Steve Niles. It's being described as a reimagining of the classic Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde story.

Bryan Singer is negotiating a two-year deal with 20th Century Fox, which would include Singer directing X-Men 3. Unfortunately, getting everyone else back will be the hard part. The original cast members were signed for only one sequel, and it will be expected that the negotiations to get everyone back will be both costly and difficult due to conflicting schedules. The third X-Men movie is projected for a possible 2006 release.

Former Black Crowes drummer Steve Gorman has been approached to form a supergroup with singer Chris Robinson and former Stone Temple Pilots members Dean DeLeo (guitar) and DeLeo (bass). Rumors of the DeLeo brothers working with Robinson surfaced on the official STP Bulletin Board a few weeks ago, and were semi-officially confirmed by Robert DeLeo when talking to fan.

Christian rock act P.O.D. have apparently had their latest CD banned by 85% of Christian bookstores in the U.S., who say the album cover is occult.
